Rechtor's speech:

Servants of God, our special quests, Ladies and Gentlemen, Brothers and Sisters, I welcome you to the 3rd Graduation Ceremony of Gospel Apostolic Church School of the Bible.

It is my pleasure to stand before you for the third time to address you on this August occasion of the passing out from the school of four students after a rather lengthy and rigorous process for both graduands and teachers alike.

Though this number is fewer than the first set that passed out in 2005, what makes this occasion unique is that three of the four graduands come all the way from New York.

I hereby congratulate Sisters' Mariana, Eartha, and Annalise for a job well done. Of course, not leaving out Sister Mercy from New Jersey. May the Lord have mercy on all of us in Jesus name.

We are not where we are supposed to be yet, but we will get there. We need to expand our curriculum to include Associate degree and Degree courses, aside from the Diploma course that we now offer. We need to encourage outsiders to come into the program. We also need a permanent classroom.

In fulfillment of these needs, one student has already enrolled under the Associate degree program. Brother John Acheampong who is here with us today will be our first student for the Diploma course from outside the church.

Pray for us for a permanent place for the school.

The Bible School is free. Therefore, we are asking for divine financial favor to be able to lease a space for the school. There is space in this building, and on this floor for us, if we can afford it. I am asking for your generous contributions, donations, and even sponsorship of this School by you or somebody you know. May the Spirit lead you as you contemplate this in your heart today. Amen.

Also, we are expanding the administrative base of the school. We have the pleasure to announce the appointment of Rev. Godfrey Ohenhen and Elder John Zarks to the Governing Board of  this institution.

Having said these, it is my duty and honor to constitute this assembly as a Congregation of Gospel Apostolic Church Bible School for the purpose of conferring awards of testimonials, Certificates, and Diplomas, on this day Sunday, the 27th day of December, 2009, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY GHOST. Amen.

I hereby declare this assembly officially open, in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of the HOLY GHOST. Amen.

Rechtor's sermon:

A WORKMAN THAT NEEDS NOT BE ASHAMED

Once more I welcome you all to this graduation ceremony.

Graduands, I would like you to see yourself differently from what you use to be before today. You are one of the believers. Yes, true. But now also, you have become a minister of the word of God. Timothy was a minister of the word of God under the tutilage of Apostle Paul. He was Paul's God-son. And he eventually became the first Bishop of Ephesus.

In Paul's second epistle to Timothy, II Timothy 2:15, he tells Timothy, "study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". You have studied. You have been approved. As a workman, it is my prayer that you will not be ashamed when the master of the house returns, in Jesus name.

What do I mean by A WORKMAN THAT NEEDS NOT BE ASHAMED ?
1) The servant who is ready when the master comes will not be ashamed. Matt.24:44-51.
2)  The servant who has been freely given and freely gives, will not be ashamed. Matt. 10:8
3) The servant who does not bury his one talent in the ground and does not become unprofitable will not be ashamed when the master returns. Matt.25:24-30
4) The servant who is given much and gives back much will not be ashamed. Because to whom much is given, much is required. Luke 12:47-48

Whether you like it or not, you have become someone that the people in church are going to look up to, to do the right thing. In your family, amongst your friends and at your place of work, you are now the "Bible" that they will be reading.

Yet you need not be ashamed if you are faithful, prayerful, endure hardship, been not carried away by the lust of this world, but been a witness to the abundant life that Jesus Christ provides from here unto eternity, just as the bible promises in II Tim.2:1-5 (read).

There are those of you who are yet to make up your mind whether to be a student of the Bible School or not. I advise that when you do decide, your intention will not be to use the knowledge you acquire just for your personal information (as is the case with some before you, who have become unprofitable servants), but use it to change someone else's life.

For all of us, whether you are a pastor, a bishop, a minister or a layman, let us know for certain and never forget that at the end of the day, all those who know the will of God but refuse do it will receive the greater punishment. James 3:1.

In spiritual matters, the letter killeth, but the Spirit maketh alive so says II Cor.3:6. That means it is not how much information you have, but to how much use you put that information.

Graduands, be first a soul winner, then whatever God calls you to be.

God bless you, all. Amen.

Rechtor's 1st graduation ceremony speech:

On behalf of our Father in the Lord Rev. S.A. Sadela, Founder/President GAC Worldwide, members of the Governing Council of GAC and members of the Church here and abroad, I congratulate our graduates today for their achievement not towards the things of this world but towards the things of God.

As pioneers that you are in your own right, being the first set of students to graduate from GAC Bible School, you have set your names as a memorial in the annals of this School which will be remembered whenever the history of Gospel Apostolic Church is written.

Before now, you were wondering what to expect and what your reaction would be when the Bible School was to be launched. Many of you graduates here today enrolled reluctantly not sure where it was leading you. As the time went on, some contemplated leaving. As a matter of fact, we had one withdrawal. It is my belief that that student will be back for the next academic session.  Another student at first wanted to go through the course but did not want to sit for the examination.   All that is now history.   I am happy to report that after all was said and done; the Holy Spirit who is the teacher of teachers took control of every situation.

Apostle Peter opened declared in Acts 10:34 and said, "Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with Him".  The word of God truly never goes out without a testimony.  Similar to an earthen vessel made unto dishonor but is now become precious, honorable and excellent and full of treasure in the sight of God, this our sister who started last (so to say) has by the grace of God become the first student of this pioneer class of 2005.

Remember graduates what the scriptures says in Matt. 10:8, "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give."  Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom" - the word of God says in Luke 6:38.  To whom much is given, much is required. Freely have you received, you must give it freely. You are ministers of God in the making.  You have become even more intensely the Bible that the world is reading. From now on, you will be judged more harshly for your omissions and commissions.  Your first priority is Soul winning.  Remember the Bible adage - first a Christian, then a soul winner, before whatever work you do in the church.

I hereby take this opportunity to thank you for your co-operation. In particular, I thank my able assistant, my wife, Deaconess Patience Oni who will be acting Registrar for today's ceremony.

It has been several months of hard work. But this is by no means the end. It is the beginning. For this School, the ultimate plan of the Holy Spirit, is to open doors for us to eventually award Degrees.  At the moment we are awarding Diplomas and certificates. This program is being expanded by inviting members of other churches who are interested in studying the Bible with us at no charge.  We urge you to bring your saved friends, colleagues, and family members. Let us all rededicate our lives to the things above and not below, as laborers in the vineyard of the Lord of harvests.  For the graduates, you have been equipped with the sword of the Holy Spirit which is the Word of God. With this weapon for soul winning, for deliverance, for comfort, for perseverance, for edification, for wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption, and preservation, heaven is your limit.

On this note, I welcome our invited ministers, special guests, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters to this first ever 2005 GAC Bible School graduation ceremony. You are a part of history in the making.

I hereby declare that the graduation ceremony continues.

To God be the Glory in Jesus name. Amen.
