Keep Rendering Service PDF Print E-mail
The King will reply, I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
Matthew 25:40

Service is the rent we pay for living; I believe you know that your life is given to you on loan. God is the loaner, we are the loanees. As each morning sun rises and you get out of bed to discover you are still alive, you are expected to appreciate your Creator for such rare opportunity and set out to pay the rent you owe. What does it mean to render service to humanity? It means doing all you can within the limit of the resources at your disposal and that of your ability to alleviate human sufferings and putting smile on people?s faces. This aspect of living can never be over-emphasized. No one will remember you for your material acquisitions but for the lives you have positively affected.

Why is rendering service so important? Why did God emphasize it so much in the scriptures? The reasons are: it is the only way to the top.

Whosoever wants to be first must be your slave. (Matthew 20:27), it is the way to discover your hidden potential and locate yourself in destiny. It is the only way to meet the needs of God; it is a way to immortalize yourself.

As a matter of fact, the whole purpose of man is to live for God and serve Him. Christianity came into Africa because some people left the comfort of their native land and gave themselves to selfless service.  Jesus left His glory in heaven, brought Himself to the level of man, criticized, humiliated and crucified so we can earn salvation. Service is never easy and convenient. It takes commitment, humility and love to serve. Render your service to God qualitatively; render service to your immediate family. Do not fail at home.

Finally, you must also take very good care of yourself so you can live long to render the useful services you are sent here for.
Remember, you never can tell the number of souls you can bless when you plunge yourself into service. Receive more grace to serve. It is well!

Prophetic Prayers

Dear heavenly father, thank you for the privilege you gave me to serve.

Oh Lord, take me further and deeper in my love and service to you.

God's purpose for my life shall not fail in Jesus Name.

I rebuke the spirit of ignorance of the value of service to humanity in Jesus Name.

Beloved, I believe you have been blessed by this message. Turning Point is an online daily devotional. Beloved, remember my family and ministry in your prayer. Till I come your way again, remain richly blessed in Jesus Name.

Yours sincerely in Christ,

You Cannot Make It Alone! PDF Print E-mail
Dear Saints of God,
Below is a write-up from our contributor to the Midweek Tonic.  God bless you as you read it.
Sister Oni.

By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me - John 5:30.

Success is a collection of relationships. Without clients, a lawyer has no career. Without patients, a doctor has no one to treat. Without a composer, a singer has nothing to sing. An inscription was boldly and conspicuously pasted on the wall of one of the patients ward in one of the University Teaching Hospitals, it read; On no account, and in no circumstance whatsoever must you shout or yell at any patient. They are the reason you have a job. My thinking has been readjusted since the day I read that inscription.

You need problem solvers around you no doubt. Having acquired so much properties and wealth, you still need the service of a good lawyer to avoid being a victim of litigations. Patients need the service of a medical practitioner in order to put their health back in order. The service of a good financial adviser is required so you do not ignorantly squander your hard-earned resources. It goes on and on like that.

God, in His plan decided to route the journey of every child into the world through a family so he/she can enjoy warmth, love, care, affection and training that is needed before entering the society. Jesus constantly talked to His Heavenly father. He talked to His disciples. He talked to everybody. He exchanged ideas with the scribes and priest in the temple. He appointed twelve co-workers to run His earthly ministry. Mark 3:14.

Change your mentality about life. Your future is connected to people; so develop people skills, develop good human relation. Let people find it easy to work with you. Depend absolutely on God. Listen to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit today, obey every instruction. You need people. You need God.

Prophetic Prayers

Oh Lord, grant me wisdom and guidance in knowing who I can turn to.

Other people's destinies are attached to me; help me to see how I can help them.

Oh Lord, work through me; grant me virtues that will attract people towards me.

Put an end to loneliness, struggle and stress in my life today.

Beloved, I believe you have been blessed by this message.

Yours sincerely in Christ,

Waiting Period May Be Painful PDF Print E-mail
Dear Saints of God,
Below is a write-up from one of our contributors to Midweek Tonic, Evangelist James Bamidele.  Please be blessed as you read this short and powerfully encouraging word of teaching.
Sister Oni

For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay Habakkuk 2:3.

Waiting moment is not always a palatable moment especially when it is getting longer than expected. However, it is still better to wait than to rush. Have you ever had a cause to wait for certain things in the past or lately? How was your experience during that waiting period? I believe it is not all that easy. Your ability to wait on God concerning an issue is a proof that you believe in Him. Waiting moment sometimes helps us to distinguish between the fakeand authentic; between falsehood and the truth.

At times, waiting is an inevitable exercise that one must go through despite the prayers especially if it has to do with some fundamental issues of life like choosing marriage partner, choice of profession and choice of location. Beyond your prayers, this is the period God uses to censor various alternatives you have at your disposal. I can make mention of few people in the scriptures who were impatient and ended up in regrets and shame.

Saul was removed from the throne when he impatiently offered the sacrifice that was an exclusive duty of a priest. He could not wait for Samuel to arrive. The cost of impatience is greater than the cost of patience.

God's delay is never God?s denial.Whenever He delays, it is to make a bigger news.Abraham and Sarah had a delay before Isaac was born. Hannah also experienced a momentary delay before Samuel was born. Both Isaac and Samuel were celebrities and historical pillars to all generations. Are you getting tired of waiting over an issue? I urge you to wait a little more. Every delay that I know is for a greater manifestation.

This is your season of celebration. Your pressures are over in Jesus name. The next glorious phase of your life has arrived. Go ahead and embrace it.

Prophetic Prayers
May I never run faster than God concerning His plans for my life in Jesus name.
Today, I receive special grace for patience in Jesus name.
I command every tension around me to subside now in Jesus name.
Before today is over, I shall take delivery of a major miracle in Jesus name.
Beloved, I believe you have been blessed by this message. Please, support my family and ministry with prayer. Till I come your way again, have a blessed day.

I remain yours sincerely in Christ,

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4.
Life is about overcoming. What makes life worth living, and what gives it its beauty are the challenges we encounter on a daily basis. You conquer one mountain, and then before you know it you are faced with the next, a bigger one. Jesus knew this, that was the reason He encouraged His disciples to cheer up in John 16:33. Any encounter of failure or defeat in your earthly voyage is momentary because there are better days, and greater celebrations ahead. There are people like you who once encountered defeats in their struggle for success. Some were completely written off by their fellows.
For instance, twice General McArthur was refused admission to West Point. But the third time he was accepted, and marched into the history books. Rudyard Kipling received a rejection letter from the San Francisco Examiner saying, sorry Mr. Kipling, but you just do not know how to use the English Language. Similarly, after a lifetime of defeats, at 62,Winston Churchill became one of Britain's greatest Prime Ministers. Enrico Caruso's music teacher told him he had no voice at all and could not sing. By age 46, Beethoven was completely deaf, yet he wrote five of his greatest symphonies without hearing a note. These people bounced back from their initial position of defeat. Some of them broke world records. The truth is, defeat and failure can be perpetual and psychological if you are seeing your present challenges only in the light of your own limited strength and resources.
Those who confront life's challenges with the mentality of their limited wisdom, strength and resources will attempt very little and will always fail. Real giants have all been weak people who did great things for God because they reckoned in His (God's) power and His presence to be with them. There is someone in you, greater than the challenge before you. So go in His might. You are an overcomer. Keep rising.

I lean on Your strength now; let my life be sustained to the end.
I depend on God's grace; it shall be sufficient for me in Jesus name.
Keep me stable in You oh Lord, lest I wander away from your presence.
I decree today, the remaining encounter in my life's voyage shall be victorious in Jesus name.

Are You Still On Track PDF Print E-mail

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will?. Ephesians 1:11.

Before you were born, a path had already been carved out for you. This is what God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:5. To work in that path is to know inexplicable joy and fulfillment. To operate outside this divine track is to enter into struggle and frustration. Michelangeloworked on 44 sculpturesand completed 14of them. The unfinished ones are in a museum in Italy the unfulfilled potential of a great genius. What is sad is people who could become masterpieces if only they were developed. To be in God's track is to discover, develop and deploy your God-given potential, either in the form of service or product. One may ask, How do I discover and develop my gifts?

Look up! You cannot arrive at your life's purpose by starting with yourself. It is in God that we find out who we are and what we are living for (Ephesians 1:11) so, talk to the Lord your Creator.

Give up! You have got to be willing to sacrifice what you are in order to become what God wants you to be. Moses gave up the riches and affluence of Pharaoh's palace to identify with a nation of being a Pharisee to pay the price of being an apostle. Every achiever has a give up story, nothing comes free.

Show up! To win, you must play the game. You can't sit on the sidelines. You were put on this earth to make a contribution. You were not created to consume resources, to eat, breathe and take up space, No. God has called you to make a difference. What He told Jeremiahis true of you. Before I made you in your mother's womb, I chose you; before you were born I set you apart for a special work.

Finally, find your God-given assignment and pour your life into it. There is no greater fulfillment. Stay on track. God bless you.

Prophetic Prayers:

Thank you heavenly Father for today's word of inspiration.

Help me Lord towards the discovery of my track in destiny.

Let my eyes be opened to discover where I might have missed it.  By your grace put me back on track.

No one will take my place in destiny; I receive grace now to pay the required price for the fulfillment of my destiny in Jesus name.

Please read and enjoy it and be blessed,

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ. Ephesians 6:5.

Are you speaking words of doubt about your own organization? Are you belittling or criticizing those in authority over you? Stop it now! Of a truth, those in authority may not be perfect. They make mistakes. Maybe that is why they can tolerate you in the first instance. If they were perfect, they might not want to communicate with you. Imagine a nation without a leader, a workplace without a boss, an army without a general. How does it look like? So, authority is an instrument to create order, that is, the accurate arrangement of things.

God reserves the right to choose whoever pleases Him to represent His people. He saw you before He eventually decided to pick someone else. He cannot make mistakes like we humans. Hence, it is a sin and criminal to condemn, challenge, compete, curse or pass derogatory remarks about God's elects. For instance, according to Numbers 16:31-34, the unusual death that killed Korah, Dathan and Abiramwho flagrantly rebelled and challenged Moses authority was brought by God! In 1 Samuel 26:8-12, King Saul, David's arch-enemy ignorantly and carelessly played into David's hands. That would have meant death for King Saul. But David remembered that murdering Saul would mean murdering God's anointed! A rebellion against a constituted leadership is a rebellion against the constitution. Also, challenging God's anointed is challenging God's sovereign authority.

How often do you pray for those in authority over you? What can you do in the next seven days to show honour and appreciation to the one person who is in authority? If you are rebelling against every instruction given to you, then do not complain when those around you begin to rebel against your words and opinions. Learn to honour and respect those in authority over you. Your success is affected by it. Remember, a single step taken in a wrong direction by a leader can derail the destiny of millions. Receive wisdom and grace to relate with those appointed over you. It is well!

Dear heavenly Father, forgive my previous act of rebellion against your elects.

Holy Spirit, check me when I am about criticizing leaders.

Let your presence be with our leaders. Influence all their decisions.

Use me, oh Lord, to bless and support those in authority.

Dear Saints of God,
Below is from our contributor to the Midweek Tonic - Pastor (Mrs) Afolabi.
God bless you as you read it.  May you be blessed through this in Jesus name.

Happy Wednesday, beloved of God.  May God’s blessing surround all of us today and always in the mighty name of Jesus.
We all read in the book of 1 Samuel about Hannah’s prayer and how God answered her prayer. How God not only gave the woman that once was barren a precious child, but a leader of leaders and a prophet of God and more over after she fulfilled her vow and gave Samuel to the Lord, God gave her more children - Ecclesiastes 5:4-6
Samuel who is referred to as the child of the temple by ladybird book, became very great in Israel, that at a time when vision and revelation was scarce. Samuel was one of the few people that God  choose to speak to  even at a very young age.
He that opened the womb of a barren woman and gave her a son who became God’s spokesman and a great intercessor when the land was barren of revelation and divine direction, will hear and answer our prayers. May we not be in rebellion and may our lives never be barren of God’s divine direction in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
1 Samuel 3:1-19
1 The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions.
2 One night Eli, whose eyes were becoming so weak that he could barely see, was lying down in his usual place. 3 The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the house of the Lord, where the ark of God was. 4 Then the Lord called Samuel.
Samuel answered, “Here I am.5 And he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
But Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.” So he went and lay down.
6 Again the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
“My son,” Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.”
7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.
8 A third time the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!
Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
11 And the Lord said to Samuel: “See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle. 12 At that time I will carry out against Eli everything I spoke against his family—from beginning to end. 13 For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons blasphemed God,[a] and he failed to restrain them.14 Therefore I swore to the house of Eli, ‘The guilt of Eli’s house will never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.’”
15 Samuel lay down until morning and then opened the doors of the house of the Lord. He was afraid to tell Eli the vision, 16 but Eli called him and said, “Samuel, my son.”
Samuel answered, “Here I am.”
17 “What was it he said to you?” Eli asked. “Do not hide it from me. May God deal with you, be it ever so severely, if you hide from me anything he told you.” 18 So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said, “He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”
19 The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.
It is my prayer that our heavenly father will never reject us and all the good prophecies upon our lives will not fall to the ground in the mighty name of Jesus.
Have a wonderful and productive day and enjoy the rest of the month. God Bless! Shalom
Funmi Afolabi

Dear Saints/Readers of Midweek Tonic,
Below is a write up sent to me by a Servant of the Lord/friend in the ministry.  It did bless me and am sure it will bless you too as you read it.
Let us watch and pray - JESUS IS COMING SOON.  Stay blessed.
Sis. Oni.  Read on.

It is indeed a great privilege for me to reach out to you again after a short silence. I want to use this medium to express my profound gratitude to every one of you for sparing your valuable time to be reading my online messages. It is my prayer that heaven will attend to your case in Jesus? Name. Amen.

Apostle Paul admonishes us in Romans 12:15 that we should "Rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with those that weep". I want to use this medium to express my sympathy and condolence to all the families of those that lost their lives in the recentplane crashin Lagos, Nigeria. It is my prayer that Almighty God will give these families the fortitude to bear the great loss in Jesus Name. Amen.

In my last message titled "OUR NAMING CEREMONY WAS SUCCESSFUL", at the concluding part of that message, I promised to share my ONE HOUR EXPERIENCE IN HELL with you. It is my prayer that Almighty God will use this message to save many sinners into His kingdom in Jesus Name. He will also use it to awaken many slumbering Christians to their responsibilities in Jesus Name. I also pray that after reading this message, all My Fathers and Mothers in the Lord and every Preacher will lay more emphasis on holiness and righteousness, than blessings and prosperity in Jesus Name. Amen.

Beloved, in February 1996, I had a dream; in that dream, I saw a message that was boldly written on the sky that "JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK AGAIN". By the time I woke up the following day, I shared this dream with my room mate who happened to be a fervent Christian at that time. The Brother said we need to be watchful and be prepared so that the Rapture will not catch us unaware. Beloved, I was just a sanctimonious churchgoer at that time; I wasn't born again.

On Wednesday 26th August 2009, I had another dream; in that dream, I saw a picture of a horrific, dreadful creature which I don't know how to describe in this message. I also saw countless people standing before this creature wanting to receive a mark which the Book of Revelation describes as Number 666. By the time I woke up from that dream, I became restless. When I was meditating on it, the spirit of God made me to understand that the name of that dreadful being is ANTI-CHRIST. Beloved, let us quickly read through the Book of Revelation Chapter 13:11-18 to confirm this message. "And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man;and his number is Six hundred threescore and six".

Few weeks after I had this dream, a Christian Brother told me that he had missed the Rapture in his dream on several occasions. He said he had been having some sleepless nights over these experiences. Based on my little biblical knowledge I was able to counsel him to examine his life so that he would not miss it on the final day. I also took time to examine my own life too.

In December 2009, a Christian Sister shared this experience with me; according to her, she saw a large number of angels holding the trumpets in their hands. I told the Sister that the trumpet will soon sound and we should be prepared so that we don't miss the Rapture.

On Wednesday 3rd February 2010, God showed me three revelations in one night. In the first scene, I found myself in the midst of some Christians. All of a sudden, there was bright light in the sky. The light was so bright that nobody could gaze at it. Later, somebody appeared in the sky. The person was gloriously dressed with crowns of lights on his head. Beloved, words will fail me to describe the magnificent appearance of this person. The Spirit of God made me to understand in that dream that the person that appeared in that sky is JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF GOD.

Later, this scene went off and God repeated the same revelation I saw in February 1996 to me again. I saw the same message boldly written on the sky that "JESUS CHRIST IS COMING BACK AGAIN". Beloved, I was the first person to see this message in the sky and I tried to draw the attention of other Christians around me to it but to my utmost surprise, only few of them could see it; others could not see it. Those of us that saw it bowed our faces to the ground because of fear.

After this revelation, I woke up and I began to meditate on the two dreams not knowing that God still wanted to reveal some mysteries to me. In this last scene, I saw numberless angels beautifully dressed in white apparel. All the angels had a trumpet set at the centre of their mouths. One of the angels told me in that dream that they were all set to blow the trumpet but they were only waiting for order from above that is order from ALMIGHTY GOD.

When I woke up from my sleep, I could not pray but I started meditating on these three dreams that were revealed to me by God in one night. Beloved, I saw my spiritual depravity, inadequacies and moral wretchedness at that time and I knew that there was no way I could make it then, if the trumpet should sound. I could still remember that I used Psalm 139:23-24 to pray. It says, "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting". I knew that I was not there yet, but I want to be there.

Beloved, from April 2010 to December 2011, I went through various challenges of life. My business collapsed; as if this was not enough, the storms of life blew heavily against my home (marriage) and it was as if the ship of my marriage would sink. During these trying periods, I also became financially bankrupt. Beloved, it was indeed a wilderness experience for me. Everything became dried and parched. There was no message and neither was there any revelation from God for me. In fact, at a particular point, I started applying human knowledge and scheme to solve my challenges but all to no avail. The Bible says, "Unto us it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables". (Mark 4:11). Beloved, one of the reasons why God could no longer reveal things to me was that My ways were not right before Him.

Beloved, if you have not forgotten, you will understand that Father Abraham went through similar experience in his lifetime. Genesis 17:1 says, "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect." It is my prayer that Almighty God will grant us the grace to walk perfectly and uprightly before Him in Jesus Name.

Beloved, I have many things to share with you but space and time will not permit me. I shall write more on this in my next message. Always remember my family and ministries in your prayer. It is well.

I remain yours sincerely in Christ,
Evangelist Bamidele James

Dear Saints of God,
Below is a write up by our contributor in the Midweek Tonic by the name Pastor Funmi Afolabi from Baltimore, Maryland.  God bless you as you read and may God also increase her anointing in Jesus name.
She will continue the series "God and Man" in another fortnight as we meet.  God bless you all.

Beloved of God, Calvary greetings to you in the mighty name of Jesus.
We bless the name of the Lord for sending us our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ to purchase us with his blood so that we can become joint heirs of the kingdom of God when we confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The miracle of the cross and the joy of salvation seems so simple but yet so profound.
May God help us to understand Him more and keep us near the cross always in the mighty name of Jesus.
In this discourse we want to challenge ourselves to look inward and just appreciate God in His holiness, majesty and splendor and just marvel at how a great Deity can just choose to pour His love and affection on us.
There is a book on Greek mythology known as men and gods, which was one of the recommended literature books for a particular high school students sometimes ago. Some of the stories were so scary and one was almost in awe of these small “gods” as a young person. However a small god can never in any way be comparable to the Almighty God, no matter what “miracles” they ascribe to them that they have performed.
However it is interesting to note that whenever people come in contact with  these small “gods” and what they say they can do the first thing most of the time is to be afraid . Fear, incidentally is also the first thing we feel when we come into the presence of the Almighty God. But the type of fear that is required or perhaps that we ought to have for our Father is reverential fear, a holy pure fear of His greatness, His splendor, how awesome, mighty, fearful and wonderful beyond description that He is.
The Crew in the ship with Jonah , who began to call unto their gods to calm the storm experienced the awesome power of the one true God when they followed Jonah’s instructions to throw him overboard into the stormy sea when he disobeyed God.  The storm stopped immediately Jonah was thrown in, and these seasoned sailors saw themselves probably for the first time as they were, “mere mortals”, frail human beings in the presence of a mighty God who is the creator of everything living and non living.
I pray that every Jonah in our boat will be removed by the Almighty Himself.
However if you and  I have decided to emulate Jonah... may God have mercy on us.
To be continued.
Funmi Afolabi
Thanks for your love and support . Please pass it on. Jesus is coming soon , God is love let's  spread the word.

Dear Saints,
Below is a contribution to Midweek Tonic for Wednesday March 28, 2012 from Pastor (Mrs) Afolabi - Baltimore, Maryland, a good friend to the ministry and a contributor/writer in our Children Korner and Singles for Christ in our Website.
May you be blessed as you read it.

I have been very busy for sometime for a couple of months. But I came across the above phrase recently and I just started thinking about my "busy bee" life and I wonder if the phrase apply to me or any of my lovely brothers and sisters out there.  Am I Productive or just busy?  The Lord Jesus Christ was busy, doing the work of the father. He was also productive because his ministry produced 12 wonderful men that turned the world around. Although one of them was a late comer yet he suffered, worked hard; he was also busy and productive for the Lord. (Apostle Paul)  Jesus was the perfect man without sin yet he walked and worked with uneducated fisherman who were anything but perfect people. Thank God for Jesus, who though was perfect was not a perfectionist and so he taught and helped his disciples to excel in the assignment that he gave them, that is, the great commission.  They were productive in-spite of perils and persecution.  It makes one wonder in our individual lives or in our churches filled with so many activities and programs, are we striving for perfection or are we trying to excel in Godly way while staying in our lane being productive in our divine assignment?  Jesus was so busy and productive in doing the work of the father that he said my meat is to do the work of him who sent me. (John 4:34)  May God help us to be productive like Jesus even in our very busy schedules.  Beloved if this does not affect you in anyway, we praise God for that and those of us that this might affect may God help us in the mighty name of Jesus.

Funmi Afolabi
Please pass this on God bless you.
Jesus is coming soon may be sooner than we think so let's spread the word.  God is love.

Beloved brethren,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua). Believing that as this is the day that gave the name "Leap Year" to year 2012, we all shall leap forward into the goodness and mercies of God this year in Jesus name. As we start a new month tomorrow called "March", we shall march forward and backward never.

No matter what we are passing through right now, there are still many reasons to thank God for. "For the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us - Romans 8:18"

When upon life's billows you are tempest toss'd When you are discourged, thinking all is lost, Count your many blessings, name them one by one And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God has done;
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will suprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care? Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear? Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly, And you will be singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their land and gold, Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold; Count your many blessings, money cannot buy Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So amid the conflict, whether great or small, Do not be discourged God is over all, Count your many blessings, angels will attend, Help and comfort give you to your journey's end. - Amen

Till we meet again in a fortnight by the mercies of God, remember that for we being alive today, God has a plan and purpose for us all. Jeremiah 29:11 says "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope"(NKJV). Believe this. "God is not man that He should lie................ Numbers 23:19".

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua).I hope you all had a great celebration of love called the "Valentine Day" yesterday. Remember our love must be unconditional and based on 1st Corinthians 13.

As we conclude our topic today based on Galatians 5:16 which reads "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh". Last week we dwelt on what it means to "walk in the flesh". Today, our focus will be on "walking in the Spirit". In the bible quotation above it said that "if we walk in the Spirit, we will not fulfil the lust of the flesh". So what does it mean to "walk in the Spirit"?
1. To walk in the Spirit, means to be filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, walking in the power of the Spirit.
2. To have our heart and mind set on the things of the Spirit or the things above.

As christians, we must be spiritually crucified with Christ - Galatians 2:20. For me and you to get to this point, we must keep our focus on God. Living in the Spirit is not the same as walking in the Spirit. When we walk in the Spirit, it means we must obey the leading of the Holy Spirit. As believers following the leading of the Holy Spirit, we must not be proud or envy others as confirmed by Galatians 5:22 which says "If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit".

If as believers we walk in the Spirit, led by the Spirit and live by the Spirit, the end result is that we will have the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance (self control) against such there is no law" Gal 5:22-23. We have all come short of these both the writer and the readers, but with the help of the Holy Spirit we can bear fruit of the Spirit.

We must all know that the flesh dwells in "works" but the Spirit dwells in "fruit".  Works are  done by human efforts but fruit grows naturally.  God is interested in coming to His garden to enjoy the fruit.

Till we meet in a fortnight by the grace of God, we must remember that "they that are in the flesh cannot please God".  Stay blessed.

Dear Saints of God,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua).  May the peace of our Lord continue to abide in you forever and ever.  I believe that your week have been very good, praise be to God.  I also believe that we are all enjoying the blessings of Abraham in our lives as we walk in His (God's) ways.
Today, our discussion is centered on the bible verse in Galatians 5:16 which says  "This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh"  The only way to overcome the sinful desires in our nature, is to live each day in the power of the Holy Spirit as He works through our spirit.  This means that either our mind is dominated by the flesh or by the Spirit, that is we are either living in the flesh or in the Spirit.
As believers, we are no more under the sentence of the law but of grace.  It now depends on how we walk the walk, like it is written in Romans 8:1b which says "...................who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit" and in Romans 8:5 it says "For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit"  (KJV). One or the other sits on the throne of our lives.  To be carnally (flesh) minded is death but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.  For the carnal mind is in enemity with God because the flesh will never yield in obedience to God therefore those that are still walking and living in the flesh cannot please God.
Who rules in our lives?  Is it the flesh or the Spirit?.  If we yield to the flesh and all the worldliness we have decided to dwell in sin but if we yield to the Spirit, we are yielding unto righteousness.  What does it mean
to live in the flesh.  The book of Galatians 5:19-21 says that the works of the flesh are manifest in these things: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, drunkeness, revellings (wild parties), envying, murders, wrath, strife, hate.........." The world tells us to indulge in these fleshy appetites and they remind us that "we only live once, go on and enjoy"  We are told not to deny ourselves these desires. Some of us as believers still struggle with the flesh daily in this case, we must know the type of friends and mentors/role models we keep.
The lust of the flesh is very powerful and the call of the world is very enticing, many believers one way or the other have given in allowing the flesh to sit on the throne of our lives, but we can take the right decision today like Daniel did in Daniel 1:8 it said "But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself..............."  Both the readers and the writer, we must set our affection on things above, not on things on the earth - Col 3:2  Let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us in living the life that will please our Redeemer.  If you are yet to believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, today is the day of salvation, tomorrow may be too late !
Till we meet in a fortnight by the grace of God for the concluding part. We must make heaven.  Stay blessed.

Abraham's Blessings PDF Print E-mail
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua). Today, we are looking into the area of blessings. As we all know, there is this song we sing which goes thus "Abraham blessings are mine". Truly, we are of the lineage of Abraham through the final sacrifice that Christ made on the cross of calvary, as gentiles that have been redeemed from the curse of the law, we became partakers of the blessings of Abraham - Galatians 3:13-14.

For Abraham to be blessed or for him to receive God's approval, he fulfiled certain conditions demanded by God. God releases his blessings to those who are willing to not only to walk by His laws, but are also willing to do it. God will always make a demand from us even though His blessings are unconditional. (1) Abraham's blessings started by leaving his father's house, his family, leaving certainty to uncertainty. Genesis 12: 1-3. Remember this was at the age of 75years.

What is it that God have asked us to let go so that we can receive our needed miracle? Is it anger, malice, hate, bitterness, not having complete trust in God, pride, been tight fisted towards the needy, lust and lies? Think about it. God's promise was not only to bless him but to make him the father of many nations - Genesis 13:14-17. There are great blessings in the pipeline for us from God, but He is waiting to see if our obedience will be partial or complete. If we can trust Him completely in every area of lives and walk in truth.

In Genesis 15:1-21 God had an agreement with Abraham. In Genesis 17:1 God made a demand from Abraham saying "walk before me and be thou perfect" this was at the age of 99years. Abraham have not yet received the promise. Most times, many of us wants God to be a magician. God walks and deals with those who are patient and can wait - Psalm 27:14, Psalm 37:9 and Isaiah 40:31. God always make demands from us to prove us, that we are not only following Him because of our need, that we are honest with Him to serve Him all the days of our lives. God demanded circumcision from Abraham and all his household, which Abraham did. Abraham himself was circumcised at the age of 99years. God changed his name and that of his wife. What great obedience he displayed towards his God.

Have we circumcised our hearts since we came to Christ?- Colossians 2:11 We are of the circucision not made with hands, our circumcision is putting off the body of sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ. Our circumcision must be of the heart - Romans 2:29. Those secret sins must die in our lives. Abraham was tested all round and proved. His obedience and faith in God was complete to the point that he stood to sacrifice Isaac and God seeing that swore by Himself that His covenant with Abraham is forever - Genesis 22:1-18.

If we are truly of the seed of Abraham, let us from now do those things Abraham did Jesus said that to the Pharisees - John 8: 31-39. If truly we seek God's blessings this year, we must be ready to walk in complete obedience with God, be a blessing to others, have faith in God because Abraham's faith in God was counted as righteousness to him. Abraham withstood God's test, believed and obeyed. So must we also trust and obey.

Till we meet again in a forthnight by the mercies and grace of God, remember when we sing the song "Abraham's blessings are mine" we must be ready to walk in the same shoes like Abraham did. We must ask the Holy Spirit to help us this year in our prayers.

Dear Saints of God,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua).  Believing that all is well with you all after a very long break due to the malfunction of the computer.  I also seize this opportunity to wish everyone a happy new year.  May 2012 bring us all joy, peace and may His glory be revealed in all our lives in Jesus name.  Thank you for all your support spiritually, physically and financially since the inception of this program.
May God Almighty reward you abundantly.

Our topic today deals with the choices we have decided to make in this new year or maybe some of us have decided to have a carry over of the choices we have made long ago into the new year.  The choices we make will surely remain with us and they carry their own consequences not only to the readers but includes the writer too.

In the book of Galatians 6:7 it reads "Do not be deceived God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man sows, he will also reap".  The question now is: what have we been sowing all along or what have we decided to sow in year 2012.  The above bible verse shows that there are consequences in whatever choice we make in life.  1.  When we choose to hate, the hate can return to us in the form of consequences we can never be prepared for.  2.  We most times make the choice of alienating ourselves from others because we are angry with them or angry with ourselves and this can hinder our ability to serve God.

Bible references like (a) Adam and Eve made a choice to disobey God - Genesis 3:1-4 the entire world is sharing out of it today, except those who have turned their lives over to Jesus.
(b)  Gehazi, servant of Elisha made a choice to be greedy, he ended up with leprosy - II Kings 5:20-27
(c)  Ruth made a choice, and became of the lineage of Christ -  Ruth Chapters 1- 4.
If we make the choice of deceiving others, there are consequences for it.  We can ask Jacob- the deceiver !
Abraham Lincoln made a choice to free slaves in America, there was a consequence for his choice.

Remember, the choice we make today will determine what consequences we will reap tomorrow.  If we make the choice of surrendering our lives to Jesus Christ today, the consequence of it will be eternal life.  We will be a friend of God here on earth and will also be with God in heaven when we die.  Make a good choice in 2012 as a believer not to be yoked up with the world or the ways of the world and the consequences is that we will be sons and daughters of God and He will be our God - 2nd Corinthians 6: 14-18.  Take away the choice of malice, envy, anger, hate etc and make a choice to love, sow kindness, honesty, integrity and forgiveness.

Till we meet again in a forthnight by the mercies and grace of God, let us watch the choices we make knowing fully well that "we cannot mock God". Whatsoever we sow, that we will also reap.  Stay blessed.

Beloved of the  Lord,
Greetings in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua).  May His blessings continually be upon us all.  Thank you very much for your continual support in this bi-weekly write-up, I do appreciate your replies and phone calls that are very encouraging.  May you continue to dwell in His presence always.

In our last discussion, we talked about "Leaving our first love" for Christ.  Today we are going to share a very beautiful song together.  If you do not know how to sing it, please read it with deep concentration and let us visualise it, seeing you and me standing face to face before the throne of Jesus Christ to be rewarded.

FACE TO FACE WITH CHRIST, MY SAVIOR - Supporting Bible verse for this song - 1st Corinthians 13:12

Verse 1:
Face to face with Christ, my Savior
Face to face----what will it be
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ Who died for me?

Verse 3:
What rejoicing in His presence
When are banished grief and pain
When the crooked ways are strightened
And the dark things shall be plain.
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory
I shall see Him by and by!
Verse 2:
Only faintly now I see Him,
With the darkened veil between
But a blessed day is coming,
When His glory shall be seen
Verse 4:
Face to face----oh blissful moment
Face to face----to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ Who loves me so.

Please kindly enjoy this wonderful song written by Carrie through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The question now is not if we will face Christ, but when will yours be and when will mine be? We are living in the endtime, this is the hour to make amends. If we are one of those causing divisions in our families, churches, etc. please repent. If you have not made Jesus your Lord and Savior, the hour is now. If as a minister in your church all you do is to sow the seed of hate between your pastor and other ministers and the congregation, please honestly confess and repent. If we still live in fornication, adultery, greed, worldliness, lies, bitterness, anger, hate, unforgiveness, unloving, not helping the needy or widows, still living in envy, jealousy, pride and rebellion, please the hour is now to repent, Jesus is coming !. Let it be that when we see Him, He will welcome us and not cast us way from His presence. Either through death or rapture, we shall surely meet Him and face Him very soon. We must all be prepared to meet our God - Amos 4:11-12.

Till we meet again by His grace in another fortnight, remember the world will not get better, it will get worst until the LORD over this earth comes and take it over.  He is the Prince of Peace !  Further studies - Read 2nd Peter 3:1-14.  Stay blessed.

Dear Saints of God,
Peace be unto you all in the name of Jesus (Yeshua). I believe that so far your week have been wonderful. Keep trusting God and I surely believe that He will turn around all things to favor you in Jesus name. Today, we will be bringing to conclusion our last discussion on "Leaving our first love". Where can we honestly point to that it was the point at which our love started going cold? For those of us who still believe that our love for the Master is still on and hot, congratlations and please keep it hot.

The most painful example is when an individual or a church loses their love for God, it is very tragic. Revelation 2:1-5 describes a church that was once alive and on fire for God, a church that have labored, they have persevered in all things. Jesus Christ still told them that something was missing in them and that was "their first love towards Him". This missing love may stand for the subtle way that the enemy have crept into the heart of the members of the church. Where people who used to pray in one accord and love stopped praying. Where people who did not care about distance still came from far to serve God, begin to give excuses and some give excuses with their jobs.

Where people who use to give, stopped giving. Where people who used to work and walk in unity, stopped working or walking in unity. Surprised? Where people who use to make sure they are not late to be in the presence of the Master, begin to come in when it is comfortable for them. When people who use to love the word of God when it points them to the area of repentance and holiness begins to rebel towards such teachings. Where people who love to go for evangelism, completely stopped evangelising.

Gradually a little bit at a time the "first love" begins to die in the church and also individually. Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24:10-12"many shall be offended and betray one another (2) Many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many (3) Because inquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Leaving our first love means turning away from doing those things that made our fellowship and relationship with Jesus Christ very intimate.

We must remember from where we have fallen, whether you are just a believer or a minister, we must repent and do the things we did at first. "Repent" was what John the Baptist told the Pharisees, Jesus started his ministry with the word "Repent", now at this end time, the Holy Spirit is still warning us to "Repent". Run away from greed, love of money, pride, selfishness, immorality etc. We must also repent from sins of omission, that is not doing what we are supposed to do. Christ paid our bride price through His blood on the cross of calvary, therefore we must live to please him. The question now is from what height did you and I fall from? Let us look back and remember where Jesus pick us up from, so let us return to Him wholeheartedly, he who has an ear let him hear... - Revelation 2:7.

Till we meet again in a fortight, remember Christ said "to him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God- Revelation 2:7b" May God richly bless you. Pray the prayer below: Holy Spirit, restore me back to God from where I have fallen, in the name of Jesus.

Dear Saints of God,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua).  May you all be blessed in his holy and precious name.  Last Sunday we celebrated the 10th year anniversary of the horrific event of Sept 11, 2001.  We pray that such will no more befall us as a nation, family or individual in Jesus name.  We seize this opportunity to comfort all hurting families, that the peace of God that passeth every understanding will be their portion in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.

Today, our discussion is based on our first love for Christ which in some of us is fading daily, our emphasis is on Revelation 2: 4-5 which says "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.... Verse 5 says "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place-unless you repent"   Taken from the New King James Version.

This is one out of the seven letters to the churches in the book of Revelation 2 & 3. The most painful thing in this life is watching someone's love disintegrate and not being able to do anything about it.  For example in marriages, a wife who was head over heels in love with her husband suddenly goes cold and vice versa.  A marriage of over 30 years just fizzles away into the thin air.  Then we ask - what really went wrong? This also happens in relationships whereby the life and excitement in that union dies a natural death.

It also happens in our relationship with Jesus Christ.  When Christ called us to Himself we accepted the call with joy, excitement, zeal etc.  We did not find it difficult to answer to call to prayer meetings, evangelism, night-vigil, bible study.  Come shine, come rain we will be there to answer the Master's call.  We were even quick to tell others about Jesus Christ through our testimonies of what He did in our lives.  The fire was on both inside of us also, then suddenly it went cold.  Then we ask what really happened?

We will continue in a forthnight, but let us remember therefore from where we have fallen and repent!

Beloved of the Lord,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua). We thank the Lord that He protected all those who were in the area affected by the recent earthquake and hurricane in America. We will continue to stand on his promises in Psalm 91. We also thank the Lord for our families and friends in Nigeria that the recent bombing in Abuja did not also affect them. Thank God for his word in Isaiah 59:19b.

In conclusion, Esau gave up his birthright. He did not only lost his birthright, he also lost the accompanying blessings. As believers that have their birthright intact, we must do all we can not to release this birthright that Christ bought back for us through His precious and sinless blood to the enemy of our soul. Esau made a bad bargain by giving in to the desires of his flesh and for that reason he was called "a profane person" - Hebrews 12:16. Profane means to treat something sacred with irreverence or contempt. Esau lost God's gracious promises for his life. (Read last write-up - 8/17/11).

Are we making a bad bargain right now? Have we already made a bad bargain? How can we lost or sell our birthright? By falling into the passing pleasures of sin and the world - 1st John 2: 15-17, Hebrews 11:24-26 and James 4:4 Walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh - Galatians 5:16-26. How can we hold on to our birthrights? This question is for both the writer and the readers, for ministers and members of the congreation. (1) Follow peace with all men and holiness - Hebrews 12:14 (2) We must be careful not to fall short of God's grace - Hebrews 12:15. We must exercise discipline and godliness - 1st Corinthians 9:24-27 & 1st Timothy 4:7-8. All we need is to ask the Holy Spirit to help us, because we cannot do it through our own efforts.

Finally, we also can fall into the same mistake that Esau made. (a) By not valuing our blood bought birthright. (b) Not appreciating the importance of our inheritance in Christ. (c) By not giving in to the allure of immediate gratification of the flesh. If we are not careful, the time will come when it is too late, no matter the tears we cry, it will late to change God's mind - Hebrews 12:17. Also we must pay attention to the warning Paul the Apostle gave us all in 2nd Corinthians 6:1-2 it says "We then as workers together with Him (i.e. the Lord) also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says "in an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the acceptable time, behold, now is the day of salvation".

Till we meet next time by the grace of God, the question is, "Have we already sold our birthright as christians? Are we in danger of selling our birthright as christians? We must remember the "THE KING OF KINGS IS COMING SOONER THAN EXPECTED".

Sis. P Oni.  (Pls we use other bible versions also, not only King James version)

Dear Saints of God,
May the blessings of God continually be our portion in Jesus (Yeshua's) name. I believe we all had a wonderful week. We bringing to you today the part II of the discussion we started a forthnight ago. God bless you as you take time to read it.

The discussion last time ended with "the devil is after us not just for today but for our future inheritance - eternal life." God knowing the heart of man, He knows we will not make the same bargain Esau made with inheritance we will receive from our parents, but what of our spiritual inheritance? This question is for both the writer and the readers. Many of us believers today are neck deep into lust - 1st John 2:15-17.

Are we selling our birthright? Remember that not only in world beyound that we have inheritance, even here on earth we do have it - Mark 10:28-30, here Jesus told us of having things in hundredfold if we forsake certain things for his sake and for the sake of the gospel. Our birthright as believers are: (1) We have an incorruptible, undefiled inheritance that will not fade away reserved in heaven - 1st Peter 1:4. (2) In Christ Jesus all things are ours- 1st Corinthians 3: 21-23 and Revelation 21:7. (3) We are heirs to the kingdom Christ have promised us- James 2: 5 & 2nd Peter 1: 11 (4) We are heirs according to the hope of eternal life - Titus 3:7 (5) We are also joint heirs with Christ - Romans 8:16-17 and finally we are heir according to the promise made to our father Abraham - Galatians 3:29.

I promised to conclude this discussion this week, but it will be good for us to have a complete knowledge of what God wants us to know and why Esau was called "a profane person". Definitely it will be concluded in a forthnight by His grace. May we continue to walk in the Spirit as we await His coming. Please take time to search out for the movie called 'WAITING FOR THE PRINCE" by Mount Zion Ministries and watch it prayerfully and I know we all will be blessed. <Jesus is coming, sooner than we expect, may we all by His grace be counted worthy of Him and His kingdom>.

Beloved of the Lord,
We thank the Lord for bringing us into another month, the month of August, which is the month of new beginnings. May every good thing in this month locate us in the name of Jesus. May our joy be permanent in the name of Jesus.

Forthnight ago, we delibrated on "Psalm 34:19" where the bible told us that we may have many things troubling us or afflicting us, God has promised to deliver us from them all. Do not be discouraged or dismayed, God's promises are yea and amen. He does not fail. All we need to do is to trust him "absolute trust" in God will bring us deliverance.

Today, we are looking into one of the saddest area of the bible which has to do with Esau. He was the first of the twin children of Isaac and Rebekah, loved by his father Isaac yet sold his birthright. Birthright means having a right to inheritance into the family we are born, privilege to our rights in the family and we also have the right to possess what we are entitled to. Even if a man hates his wife, if the hated wife is the mother to the firstborn, the firstborn of the hated is entitled to his right - Deuteronomy 21:17.

These were the right Esau had, so as believers in Christ we also have a birthright through the death of Christ on the cross of calvary, by shedding of his blood, we became joint-heir with Christ. When Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for the bowl of pottage, remember the birthright was not stolen from him. Jacob had a proper understanding of the value of the birthright, so he was ready to give away the food that had a temporary satisfaction to the flesh in exchange for a greater future inheritance which is a picture of eternal inheritance the believers will receive.

As a believer, have we sold our birthright to satisfy our fleshy desires? Have we given in into the greed of the world? For temporary physical pleasures Esau sold his birthright. He chose the present over the future. As believers looking forward for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, can we say today that we have not succumbed to the pleasures of this world? The devil is after us not just for today but for our future inheritance - eternal life.

Till we meet in a forthnight for the conclusion, may we not choose the sensual over the spiritual and may we not loose our kingship and priesthood the birthright have given to us.

Maranatha !

Dear beloved,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ(Yeshua) and I believe that so far your week have been a blessed one.  To God be the glory in Jesus name.

In our last discussion, we talked about how to "be still and know that He is God - Psalm 46:10" We can all see the way the world itself is going now and no matter how much we try, the children of this world in their own eyes seem to be wiser. All we need to do is to wait, by waiting it means we have to trust God and we must not join them, because we are called to transform the world and not to conform with with the world - Romans 12:2.

Today, we will talk about the topic "Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but he delivers him out of them all - Psalm 34:19". Remember, the bible said that at the endtime the children of God will pass through many persecutions, trials, temptations, afflictions and even many will hate us. There is hope and that is the Lord Himself have promised to deliver us from all of it, so let not your heart be troubled.

In 2nd Timothy 3:12 said "and all who desire to live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution". Right now many of us are facing one thing or the other because we are in Christ, but be comforted after all we are just pilgrims here on earth, passing through this planet but our real home is heaven where we will find perfect peace and comfort.

Are we facing discrimination, in any area of our lives, remember He will deliver us from them all. In our work place are our bosses mean, wicked and selfish to us, he will deliver us from them all. Have all our friends found faults in us and have decided to turn their back on us, he will deliver us from them all. Have your spouse decided to leave and abandon the entire family, don't be afraid he will meet us at the point of our need. Are we frustrated by the attitude of our children towards us, God will touch their hearts and deliver them. Have we been deprived of our rights in any area of our lives especially in our place of work, remember God will take vengeance for us. As believers, are we been treated shably by men of God who think that they are too important, relax we serve the God of justice. As ministers of God have our congregation looked down on us and called us names, he will deliver us after all he said "touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm". How about when out families turn their backs on us, be not angry but remember that one with God is in majority.

Read 1st Corinthians 10:13 and we will find out that God have promised us way of escape no matter how bad the trials, persecutions, discriminations, oppressions and hate may be, God will never let us down "He will deliver us from them all".

I seize this opportunity to congratulate my husband's nieece Titilayo Oni whose wedding is coming up @ the end of this month, may God bless her and her huband-to-be. May their wedding be fruitful and may the peace of God continually be their portion in Jesus name. For our friends who will like to part of what God is doing in our family, you are cordially invited to:
CHURCH WEDDING -   7/30/11

May this type of joy never lack in your homes and in your families in Jesus name.  For the spinsters, I use this as a point of contact to your own Boaz, and to the bachelors this will be a point of contact to your own Ruth in Jesus name.

Dear Saints of God,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I believe that since our last discussion, all is well with you.  May God continue to uphold us all till His appearance, and may we not be found wanting but rather receive the word "welcome my good and faithful servant, come into your Father's bosom" from our Master Jesus.

In our last discussion, we talked about "PERSEVERANCE".  This is a tool we need to be able to overcome all the trials and temptations that come our way and also with this tool we can be able to stand and finish what the Lord have called us to do, no matter the struggles.

Today, the song called "BE STILL MY SOUL" also have to with endurance.  This song is so powerful if you sit down quietly and study the wordings.  Try and see the movie called "CHARIOTS OF FIRE" and we will come to know about a man called ERIC LIDDELL and all the persecutions, sufferings he went through all for the sake of the kingdom not for satisfying or meeting his needs but for Jesus's sake - Matthew 5: 10-12.  For further studies, please read 1st Peter 4: 12-19.

We must be ready as the day draws nearer to the coming of our King, to bear persecutions and trials.

1.  Be still, my soul; the Lord is on thy side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to thy God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain
Be still, my soul; thy best, thy heavenly, Friend
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

2.  Be still, my soul; thy God doth understake
To guide the future as He has the past,
Thy hope, thy confidence, let nothing shake;
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul; the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below

3.  Be still, my soul, though dearest friends depart
And all is darkened in the vale of tears;
Then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
Who comes to soothe thy sorrows and thy fears
Be still, my soul; thy Jesus can repay
From His own fulness all He takes away.

4.   Be still, my soul; the hour is hastening on
When we shall be forever with the Lord,
When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
Be still, my soul; when change and tears are past,
All safe and blessed we shall meet at last.

Till we meet in our next discussion by His grace and mercies, remember God is in control no matter what we are passing through now or what is yet to come, "we have to be still and know that He is God"

Beloved of the Lord,
We thank the Lord for bringing us all into the Summer season.  May the season bring us blessings, peace and joy in the Lord, in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Today, we are concluding our discussion on "Endurance/Perseverance" As we all know that the word perseverance means to persist (as in understaking) in spite of difficulties. Our areas of perseverance may be different from one another but at the long run, we must know that faithful is He that have called us - 1st Thessalonians 5:24. God have called us to do His will and to complete it despite the difficult circumstances. It is only by faith that we can finish what God have called us to do regardless of how we feel. Also read Hebrews 10:23 and 1st Corinthians 1:9.

When we walk in perseverance, it means we are walking and rooted in faith in God. In Hebrews 10: 37-39, we are told that very soon He that is coming will come, that means Jesus Christ our rewarder will come.........therefore we must not draw back. If we draw back, it means we have lost courage and left before the will of God is complete. This means that we walked away before the work was done because the work is hard. If fulfiling God's work or calling is easy, then we need no faith. When it becomes difficult to fulfil God's plans, that becomes an opportunity for us to live by faith. Frustration, fear etc. can cause us to go back.

Both the writer and the readers, let us all be part of the people who will not go back. In marriage we need perseverance not divorce - Matthew 19: 3-9 & 1st Corinthians 7:10-11 and 39-40 In our career or profession we are called to persevere because God who have begun a good work in us will surely complete it.......Philippians 1:6. In nurturing our children we are called to persevere for He will never give us children for trouble and our children will be taught of the Lord-Isaiah 54:13. In all our relationships we must persevere. Let it be spoken well of us by others that we did not leave the work behind out of frustration but leaving a legacy behind for next generation.

Till we meet in our next discussion by His grace and mercies let us all be like our founding fathers of faith in Hebrews 11 who persevered to the end.

Dear Saints of God,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For this month of June, I pray that every good plan that God have for you and your family will manifest in Jesus name.

In our last discussion, we spoke about "PREPARING FOR TOMORROW, TODAY - 1ST CORGTHIANS 3:9-15". This dealt with the rewards of the believers that will be given by God Himself. In Revelation 22: 12 Christ Himself spoke about reward, He said "And, behold, I come quickly: and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be" May God help us all!

Today, our topic deals with a special fruit of the spirit called "ENDURANCE OR PERSEVERANCE" it depends on the version of the bible your are reading but these two words means the same. In Hebrews 10:35-36, we are told not to throw away our confidence which has great recompence of reward. It also tells us that we have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

People who persevere/endure by sticking with what they started, regardless of the pain, the struggle and continues to walk in faith and not in fear or pull back because of fear or what people will say, will always see God do great things. Perseverance is always rewarded greatly by God. Throwing away our con- fidence means giving up because things are not working out the way it should. When what we started gets hard, we must endure and have the courage to continue.

When God rewards our endurance, we will be glad that we did not give up or walk away from such commitment. The moment we know that God is n control, we will persevere and remain because we need to finish what we started. Perseverance is patiently staying with what was started no matter how great the struggle may be, it is also not giving up no matter what we are going through.

Do not go away or run away when things get hard because if truly we want to finish the will of God and receive the recompence of reward, we must stick around. Fulfiling God's will can be painful and most times tough, but with God we will always pull through.

We shall continue this topic by God's grace in a forthnight, till then we must not throw away our confidence that means "do not give up."

Dear beloved of the Lord,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will continue to thank you for all your support spiritually and physically. May God bless you all.  May all your days be filled with the joy of heaven.

In our last discussion centered on the bible quotation from 1st Corinthians 3: 9-15, we discussed about the foundation of our faith in the person of JESUS CHRIST. We dealt with the issue of what type of materials are we using to build on this great foundation we have been opportuned to build on (refer to Midweek Tonic April 13, 2011).

Today, we will be dwelling on the rewards of our works as believers. Remember, the un- believers are not involved in this rewards because for as long as they have refused Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, they are condemned into eternal damnation. Now some believers may say "well it does not matter, as long as I make it into heaven". Brethren, on that day most of us would have wished more that "if only we had obeyed His command".

There is going to be an inspection of our works by God Himself. He is no respecter of persons! "Our works will go through fire, and if burnt we will suffer loss" The loss may be that the reward may be "shame" instead of "praise" in the presence of Christ. May this not be our portion in Jesus name. What are the areas of our rewards? Please take time to read the bible verses since I have limited space to write them out word for word. Make this bible study time.
1. PRIVILEGES/RIGHTS -  Luke 12:37 ,   2nd Peter 1:11, Revelation 2:7
2. PRAISE/HONOR -    Matthew 25: 21
3. POSITIONS TO RULE -  Luke 16: 10-12 ,  Luke 19: 17-end
4. GOD WILL REWARD US FOR OUR WORKS - Matthew 16:27,  Romans 2:1-6,  2nd Corinthians 5:10, Ephesians 6:8 and Revelation 2:23.
5. THE WORDS WE SAY - Matthew 12: 36-37  and James 3: 1-12
6. OUR THOUGHTS/MOTIVES - 1st Corinthians 4:4-5 ,  1st Corinthians 10:30-31 and Colossians 3: 23-25.
God as a perfect judge will take all these areas into consideration and will render to us all a just verdict. Remember, there will be no more opportunities to amend things the moment we stand before the judgement throne of Christ. For the writer and the readers we still have the opportunity and the grace to change now and do what is right. Stay blessed.

Saints of God,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua). Believing that the springtime will bring us everything new in Jesus name. May all things that are dead in our lives, come alive anew in Jesus name.

I will continue to appreciate you all for been a source of encouragement to me through your phone calls, prayers and emails since this write-up started. May God bless you and may He continue to bless the good workls of your hands.

Durng our last discussion, we read about Paul the Apostle telling us how he will do all he can to live a blameless life with God and with man. Today, Apostle Paul is taking us to an important area in our lives as believers. If you are yet to believe in Jesus Christ, take the right step now and give your life to Christ, tomorrow may be too late. You can call (973-609-8434) to be prayed for and be led to Christ by His grace and by the help of the Holy Spirit.

As believers, we are co-workers with God, like Paul, we also are wise masterbuilders. The foundation on which we are building is JESUS CHRIST. For there is no other foundation that can be laid than the one that has already been laid, but on this foundation we have to be careful what we build on it. For if we build with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay and stubble, our works will all go through fire and it is after then will we know if we have rewards or losses - Read 1st Corinthians 3: 9-15!

Coming to church with a heart of worship is of God but coming to church to impress others or for agrandizement represents wood because both secret and unknown activities will be judged by Christ. A true and faithful heart of service is like gold, silver and precious stones and spiritual laziness and the attitude of "let others do it I have done my time" is like hay, stubble and wood in God's sight.

As materbuilders our building materials must be carefully chosen or else the entire structure will fall. This is divided into two parts. It is either our materials are (1) costly or cheap. (2) imperishable or perishable. (3) Permanent or Temporary. Now which type of materials are we building with on the foundation which is JESUS CHRIST? Time of reward is drawing near brethren we must choose right.

My prayer is that both the writer and the readers we will not face open shame as our works pass through fire on the day of judgement.

We shall continue on this topic as we meet the next time but before then, "REMEMBER, THAT THE TIME TO PREPARE FOR TOMORROW IS TODAY"

Calvary greetings in Jesus name. I want to thank our Lord for giving me another chance to be here with you today. I also appreciate all those who has been with me since this journey stated.  May God bless you all in Jesus name.

In our last discussion, Jesus said that "offences will surely come, but woe unto that man by whom offences cometh - Matt 18:7" Even between spouses, this is applicable. As we all know, conscience is consciousness of the moral right or wrong of one's own acts and motives. Offence means to displease, to make angry, to wound one's emotions which is sin. We all have fallen short of this including the writer and therefore there is no justification for any of us when it comes to offences. The only way we can come out of it is when we sincerely and honestly seek forgiveness from God and the one we have offended.

Paul the Apostle, saw himself as not offending anyone when he was persecuting the church of God, because this was what his faith as a Jew taught him so as to have a conscience void of offence, but when he came in contact with Christ, he saw all his former ways as sinful. The bible tells us in 1st Corinthians 10:32 that we should have no offence against the Jew, Gentiles or the church of God. If we can offend these 3 categories of people, so also we should be ready to receive offence from them. When Paul faced the governor in Rome, he made sure that he broke free from offending God or man by restraining himself to get angry - Proverbs 19:11. This means we can hold ourselves back from getting angry even when people delibrately or knowningly offend us. Because as long as the devil is alive, offence will surely come. Expect it!

We must try to commend ourselves to the conscience of others, which is what Paul did when he was dealing with false teachers in Corinth. Paul said (1) He has renounced the hidden things of dishonesty. Is our conscience still dealing in dishonesty? (2) He said he has stopped walking in craftiness. Is our conscience still walking in craftiness? Paul said he has stopped handling the word of deceitfully. Is our conscience still handling the word of God deceitfully? Paul said by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God, he must walk with others truthfully and deal with the word of God truthfully - 2nd Corinthians 4:2 2nd Corinthians 5:11.

Many of us as christians today walk around with seared consciences towards God and man - Acts 20:28-32, 2nd Thessalonians 2: 1-12, and 1st Timothy 4:1-6. Our response when offences, refer to John 16:1 and stay stong on the word because it will empower you to deal with offences effectively. We can also deal with offences as we were told by Jesus in Matthew 18: 15-17. We must try not to give offence to others. Read Philippians 1: 10-11, 1st Corinthians 10:32. As pastors and ministers in the church we have to make sure we are walking not in offence to God and to man - 2nd Corinthians 6:1-10. We all as christians must do all we can not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God that is in us. Remember we are living in the endtime and satan does not want us to make heaven. By His grace we shall surely make it.

If Jesus Christ tarries, we shall meet again by His grace, till then let us show the fruit of righteousness in peace of them that make peace - James 3:18.

Dear Saints of God,
Calvary greetings in Jesus name. We give God all the glory for bring us into a new month. We pray that this month will be a month of supernatural favor in every area of our lives in Jesus name.

In our last discussion, we spoke about the "Signs and Dangers of the Last Days". In this write-up, we found out that in this last days, "it will be difficult to be a Christian" because we will now find out that our persecutors are not the unbelievers but fellow believers, co-ministers, leaders in the church and not people of other religion. We must continue to ask the Lord for His grace to abound in our lives so that we do not fail or fall.

Today, we will talk about "Conscience" and "Offence". Conscience means consciousness of the moral right and wrong of one's own acts and motives. Offence means to displease, to make angry, incivility, to wound one's emotions, to sin. We all have fallen short in this area, both the writer and the readers. There is no justification for any of us when it comes to offences. We must be honest about it and not play games with such important issues.

There is a very great difference between "offence" and "misunderstanding one another". Offence is an attack and an assult that many times it touches the deep emotions of people and that breeds bitterness, hate and unforgiveness. Misunderstanding means misinterpretation of words or intentions of the other person and if properly explained, most times peace reigns, forgiveness is very easy except otherwise. Offence runs deeper and the offenders conscience will be filled with guilt also the offended keep nursing the grudge inside of them. Offence can cause people to stumble. As long as there is a devil, there will be offences. Take it or leave it !

Jesus Christ Himself spoke of offences, He said offences will come, but woe unto that man by whom the offences cometh - Matt 18:7. In the year 1999, the entire world was running helter skelter to prepare themselves for year 2000. Many predicted a lot of doom, confusion and catastrophe. Yet the doom of year 2000 never happened. Jesus Christ Himself is telling us that offences will come and they are coming. How many of us are prepared for it? We should not pretend to say "will an offence come?" We should be prepared for an offence so that when it comes, we will not allow it to make us stumble in our faith.

In Proverbs 18:19 it reads "A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city......." Joseph did not say he was not offended when he was thrown into the pit or when he was sold out into slavery. He will not tell you that he was not offended when he was wrongly accused by his master's wife that landed him into jail. But God was preparing him towards many things to come and also the day he will meet with his brothers. The guilt of offence was in his brothers - Genesis 42:21. Joseph forgave them. In our next discussion, we will talk about Paul the Apostle with the bible verses which is the subject matter. Till then, let us all deal with offences as Christ have instructed us in Matthew 18: 15-17.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua). Sorry I have been absent for a very long time, but I thank the Lord His power of restoration. IT IS WELL!

Our last discussion was on "Endtime Philosophers" in which we discussed about the wind of confusion on the issue of the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Many christians have not sought the Lord over this and many have not taken time to study the word of God, but have allowed the wind of divers doctrines to confuse them. Our Lord Jesus Christ warned his disciples while on earth that hey should "Beware........Matthew 7:15 & Matthew 16:6".

Today, we must discuss about what we experience as true believers as the end draws nearer. In II Timothy 3, it is all laid out for us to read. If we claim to be true believers and have not experienced persecutions, sufferings and all that is listed in the book of II Timothy 3, then we have to really look deep into our walk with Christ. If we strive to live godly then we must be prepared for persecution - II Timothy 3:12. Therefore, if you are a true, holy and heaven bound believer expect that in these last days, it will be difficult to be a Christian. Why? Men (women included) shall be lovers of their own selves, lovers of money (covetous), boasters, proud, blasphemers (scoffing at God, the God we believe in), disobedient to parents (spiritual/biological or adopted parents), unthankful (ungrateful), unholy (they will consider nothing sacred), without natural affection (unloving & unforgiving), truce-breakers (betrayers), slanderers (gossips), brutal (cruel, with no feelings), despisers of good (with no interest in what is good), traitors, be puffed up, reckless, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. etc.....Read the rest in II Timothy 3. These last days spirits is not only found in unbelievers, but also among end-time christians.

Except a true believer is filled with the Holy Spirit, it will be very hard to cope. We can be frustrated and if care is not taken this satanic spirits that has possessed the world will begin to creep into us. All a true believer have to do is first of all stay away.... Paul the Apostle did advise Timothy to stay away from such! ......Time will also come when they will not endure sound doctrine but run after their own lusts.........II Timothy 4:3-4. A true believer must watch in all things, endure afflictions and persecutions, continue in doing the work of an evangelist, that we may make full proof of our ministry - II Timothy 4:5. As true believers, we must be ready to fight a good fight, we must finish the race (in heaven not in hell by His grace) and we must remain faithful (keep the faith) - II Timothy 4:7.

Till we meet next week by the grace of God, remember to "study to shew thyself approved unto God...........II Timothy 2:15".

Dear Saints of God,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua).  I seize this opportunity to thank you all for encouraging me by reading the weekly write-up called "MIDWEEK TONIC".  May God bless you all.

I wish you all a happy and prosperous New Year.  If Jesus Christ tarries, I believe we will have a better reading to do next year.  Do not relent in doing the will of God.  For those who have not made up their minds to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ, the hour is now, tomorrow maybe too late.

Do not be confused by the "ENDTIME PHILOSOPERS".  Read your bible seek out the truth from the bible.  Anything you hear or read and the bible does not confirm it, flush it down in the W/C.  Be like the Bereans Acts 17: 10-11

Thank you all for standing with me all through the year 2010.  May the coming year be your year of uncommon breakthrough, favor and prosperity in Jesus name.

Read your bible daily and pray without ceasing in 2011 - Joshua 1:8 & 1st Thess 5:17.
May the peace of God abide with you all forever and ever - Amen.

A Christmas Letter : "God's Gift of Love" PDF Print E-mail
Fellow Co-worker in God's vineyard,

Merry Christmas and a very happy and prosperous New Year!
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life."
This declaration in John 3:16, is perhaps the most quoted Bible verse ever.

Beloved, let us examine this simple, straight forward and unambiguous statement critically. We will find that God's gift of Jesus Christ on Christmas day was based on His love for us. This was not just an ordinary gift, but one given out of the power of love. Therefore, let every gift that we give this Christmas season be born out of love for Jesus and for our neighbors.

Gifts these days seem to come down to material things. But the birth of Christ the savior was a spiritual gift. "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shall call His name JESUS; for He shall save His people from their sins."- Matt.1:21. If we truly love someone, no matter what that person does, we will forgive. True, unconditional, "agape" love is God's love that has the power to turn a sinner into a saint. The power of God's love took away the power of sin through the blood of the lamb that was slain from the the foundation of the world. The switch of salvation was turned on, so that those who sit in darkness might see a great light (Matt. 4:16). I pray that 2011 will be a year when we will no longer walk in darkness, but in grace and truth both of which came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17).

Whatever material gift you have, give it with a heart of love. If you are not in a strong financial position to give any gifts this season, follow the example of Apostle Peter and John at the beautiful gate in Acts of the Apostles Chapter 3, verse 5: "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ Of Nazareth rise up and walk ". This man lame from his mother's womb for 40 years, was expecting money, but received something far more precious and wonderful - the gift of a lifetime. He saw other people walk, but was never able to get up and walk. Now he was free to go where ever he wanted. So is God's gift of love. It is an everlasting gift. It is the gift of eternal life! John 3:16. There is forgiveness in the blood of Jesus Christ. There is healing and deliverance in the name of Jesus by the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We are victors, and over-comers, and conquerors by the power of the love of Jesus Christ (Romans 8:37). Let us forgive one another as God has forgiven us. Let us pray for one another, for the prayer of the righteous will heal the sick. It is time for us to love one another as God has loved us. Let us strife to walk in unity not just as servants, but as faithful servants. Then all the hopes and fears of all the years represented by God's love gift of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, will be fulfilled in us today.

God bless you now and forever. Amen.

Dear Saints of God,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua). We thank our God for giving us the grace to see the beginning of a new month - the month of December which is the last month of the year 2010. My prayer is we all shall live and not die to see the end of 2010 and we shall cross over safely into the new year 2011 by the grace of God.

Last week we concluded our discussion on 'JESUS CHRIST THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE' For the true believers, am sure we all agree that JESUS CHRIST without controversy, is THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. As long as we are in Him and He is in us, we will not miss the way, we will always walk in truth and we will have life everlasting. If there is anyone among the readers of this write-up, that have not made up their mind to follow Jesus Christ, today is the day of salvation. Make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior and you will not regret you did.

Today, we are about to discuss what most of us are hearing these day concerning the second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The second coming of Christ is as sure as death, so no true believer will argue over that. The problem we have now is that there is a wind of confusion blowing in the air with regards to the day Christ will come. We have heard that some have even quoted a date and they are very specific about it. Some are still saying it may be in the next 5 to 10 years all these are men's philosophy.

Many have been warned not to go to church anymore because God have left the churches. The most dangerous thing is that many have believed these commentaries. The first question now is what did the bible say about the second coming of Christ? Where in the bible were we told to forsake the gathering or the fellowship of the children of God? Eventhough people are told not to go to church anymore, yet this same group will tell their followers to make sure they attend their Sunday fellowship. Is this not contradictory? What is church and what is fellowship? Let us believe the bible only and not several interpretations of man. Let us all ask the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit to give us the right interpretation of the Word of God.

Paul the Apostle, one of the greatest Apostles that ever lived told us in one of his letters to the Colossians that is Colossians 2:8 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy.........................." Also in Romans 16:17 Paul wrote "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause division......................" In Hebrews 10:25-26 Paul wrote again "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, in the manner of some is.................. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth...................." Please take time to search the scriptures as the people in Berea did in Acts 17:10-12. The people of Berea searched the scriptures daily, these days we have all grown to be lazy believers in reading the word, so we just take in all we are given by every Tom, Dick and Harry.

We will continue next week by the grace of God, till then please read the Bible and look into Matthew 24 very well.

Jesus Christ - The Life PDF Print E-mail
Beloved brethren,
Greetings in Jesus name.  All glory be to God for His grace towards us for the grace to be here to celebrate yet another Thanksgiving Day in the year 2010. If Jesus tarries, may we celebrate more Thanksgiving Days in Jesus name.

Last week, on our on going discussion on JESUS CHRIST THE WAY THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, we centered our discussion on "JESUS CHRIST - THE TRUTH"

Today, we are going to deliberate on the last part of this great topic which is "JESUS CHRIST - THE LIFE".   Jesus Christ is life.  This means that if we have Christ we have life and anyone who do not have Christ in his/her life is dead -John 3:35-36 and John 5:21.  Every believer in Christ bears His mark, which is the mark of life.

Therefore, it sounds contradictory for a christian to fear death - John 11: 25-26.
Our Lord is the Resurrection and Life and He has the keys of death and hell- Revelation 1:18.

Beloved, as we eat and drink during this "Thanksgiving Celebrations" let us all remember the owner and giver of life and appreciate Him for giving us life.  He laid down His life for us to have life everlasting.  Finally, Life is more than meat, and the body more than raiment - Luke 12:23

If by chance you are reading this article today and you have not given your life to Christ,  do it today.  Today is the day of salvation and tomorrow may be too late.  Make Jesus your Lord and Savior and you will not regret you did.

Till we meet next week, if Jesus tarries
Sis Oni
Dear Saints of God,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua).  We thank the Lord for all His mercies over us and for His protection.  We believe He will continue to shield us from every danger as the end draws nearer daily.
Last week we talked on "Jesus Christ, The Way". As we all know, Jesus Christ is the only way that leads to heaven because through His death and resurrection, He made the way for as many who are ready follow Him - Hebrews 10: 19-20.
Today, we are discussing about JESUS CHRIST THE TRUTH.  Truth is constant. Truth will always prevail against falsehood.  As the Truth, Jesus Christ is the the true revelation of God - John 14: 8-9.  It is also said in John 8:32 "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free".  Without the Truth there can be no freedom.
When we know the truth and stand by the truth then the Truth will make us free. Everyone that is of the truth heareth his voice - John 18:37.  The Truth makes us free from the fear of death, fear of the enemy, fear of the future, fear of sickness, fear of failure, fear of the devil and fear of nearly everything.  Remember that the fearful have no place in heaven - Revelation 21:8.
Till we meet next week by His grace and mercies, keep your faith alive if you are one of His but if you are yet to believe in this TRUTH, this is the hour.  Do not delay to answer as He knocks at the door of your heart. -  Revelation 3:20.
Stay blessed.

Jesus Christ The Way The Truth and The Life - John 14:6 PDF Print E-mail
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua) I believe you all had a great week.  May the grace of God continue to be sufficient in your lives in Jesus name.

In our last discussion on "Leadership", we discussed the characteristics of a leader.  We must as leaders, no matter where we are asked to lead, to be selfless leaders.

We are going to discuss the above topic in three (3) parts.
So today we will talk about JESUS CHRIST - THE WAY.

Most people today who are yet to make Jesus Christ their personal Lord and Savior, may not understand the above topic how Jesus Christ will be the way, the truth and the life.  Jesus Christ is the way, because it only through Him you can go to heaven.

Therefore if anyone refuses to accept Jesus Christ as Lord, that person have already missed the way and the wrath of God is on that soul- John 3:35-36.  Whatever other way anyone may take cannot lead to heaven.  The fundamental truth is this, if you hunger and thirst after righteousness, the Spirit of God will lead you to THE WAY - JESUS CHIRST.

Jesus Christ became the only way that leads to heaven through his death and resurrection - Hebrews 10:19-20.  We can only find pasture if we go in through the right door -JESUS CHRIST - John 10:7-9  If you are yet  to give your life to Jesus Christ, please make that decision today, tomorrow may be too late. He cares about you !

Till we meet next week by God's grace and mercy, do not be deceived, make sure you are on the right WAY !  For there is only one God and one Mediator between God and men, that is the man JESUS CHRIST - 1st Timothy 2:5.

Leadership (Part II) PDF Print E-mail
Dear Saints of God,

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  I sincerely believe that it is well with you all in the name of Jesus.  We last had our discussion about two weeks ago on "Leadership".  As we conclude this discussion today, let us look into what is expected of a leader, be it a leader in the secular world, church or at home.

As a leader, we must do things to those we are leading as we expect them to do to us- Matthew 7:12.  The Bible said in Luke 12:48b ".......for unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required.........................".  For example, much is expect of a father/husband in a home.  He should not expect more from his wife and children, because God require more from him.  Therefore a leader must have these traits in the way they lead:-

1.  A leader must be trustworthy   -  Exodus 18:21 this means no covetousness in them
2.  A leader must be ready to stand up for his people - Exodus 32: 7-14
3.  A leader must always look out for his people -  Numbers 27: 16-17
4.  A leader must repesent God in his/her decision -  II Chronicles 19: 5-7
5.  A leader must be in a position to receive advise -  Proverbs 11:14
6.  A leader must be ready to serve others - Matthew 20: 25-28
7.  A leader must be ready to live a sacrificial live for others - John 10:11
8.  A leader must by obeyed by those he/she is leading - Romans 13: 1-4
9.  A leader will account to God for all those he/she is leading -  Hebrews 13:17

Friends in the Lord, we must realise that leaders can only enjoy their position of leadership if they lead by example as Jesus did.  In the book of Romans 13, the instruction therein does not only refer to spiritual leaders.  It also refers to kings, presidents etc.  It is very good to be in a position where we are called to lead, but we must do it in humility, with a heart of servanthood and be ready to give God all the glory in all our successes.  The Holy Spirit is here to help us.

Till we meet next time by the grace of God, remember, we must lead by example, we must not lord it over those we are leading and we must lead with love.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (Yeshua).

Last time our discussion was on "Eternal Life", as we know that if we live our lives without Christ, then we are not a candidate for eternal life.  Therefore, if you have not made up your mind to know Christ, the hour is now.  Do not delay !  Today is the day of salvation.

Today our discussion is focused on "Leadership".  Many are born leaders, many find themselves in the position of leadership, while many are called to lead.  Where do you fall in to if you are a leader?

As C. Casparius puts it: Quote  "As christians we are meant to act more like Christ everyday of our lives.  We are supposed to read, meditate and act the word and principles of God.  In addition like Jesus Christ we are meant to be leaders in our words and in our actions.  Jesus Christ is the ultimate leader and we are supposed to emulate Him in all things we do.  However, the most powerful effect He has on His people was when He showed them what to do.

The world's definition of leadership actually presupposed the idea of a leader.  By presupposing a leader then it would seem that the world believes that if a person is placed in a position of leadership then they are automatically a leader.  In addition, by the world's standards, the leader is the top ladder.  Technically, this is true, but there are so many qualities that go with being a leader that the position, while deserving respect, certainly does not imply that the leader has those qualities that make him a leader"  Unquote -

As we shall continue with this topic next week,  if we are in the position of leadership, let us check ourselves if we are doing it as Christ did it.  As we all know that as a leader, we are called to guide others, we are in front and are called to lead by example. We are to be honorable leaders, while in our leadership position we must also take cognizance of other leaders ahead of us.

Till we meet next week by the grace and mercies of God, we must remember that a leader must lead in words and in actions.

Eternal Life - John 3:1-15 PDF Print E-mail
Greetings in Jesus name (Yeshua).  Thank you all for your love and understanding for a long time now I have been off  the air, this was due to the works of the enemy, I do believe that the enemy can never destroy the work of God.

Our discussion today is "ETERNAL LIFE" and this is for those who are truly and sincerely children of God.  I mean children of light who have seized to walk in darkness and in craftiness.  Who now walk in honesty in everything.

We all know that one day our Lord will come and take all who follow Him in truth into eternal bliss.  We all as christian truly look unto that day and hope for that day to come.  I pray for all children of God and for myself and my family and the church of God that I belong to that our Father will help us make decisions in this life that will set us on the way of eternal life.

WWJD - (What will Jesus do).  As many times we take decisions, let us ask ourselves what will Jesus do if He is the One to take that decision.  Are we going to listen to Christ or to men?  We cannot please men and still be a disciple of Christ. Never!  We cannot be self-willed and want to be in heaven with Him.  Remember two captains can never be in the same boat.  Those who listen and follow Christ will be received into heaven by that pierced hands, who gave up all and came and died for me and you that we may have eternal life that which no man can take from us.

May God's name be praised.  May we see that joy that is set before us.  May we receive a revelation of heaven that we may see what it holds for us all.  May our Father in heaven hear the secret yearning of our hearts and therefore keep us close to Himself everyday.

Be blessed and decide today for Christ! You may decide to come as Nicodemus or you can make it an open business.  Tomorrow may be too late.  Mark 10: 29-31

There's A Place I Love To Tarry PDF Print E-mail
Beloved of the Most High God,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua).
I believe you all had a wonderful week.  Thanks be to God.  Remember, when fiery trials come, just think abou this phrase "....and this too shall pass..."
Read.....1st Peter 4: 12 -  19.

Below is a song, if you do not know how to sing it, please meditate on the words and the Spirit of God will give you the understanding in Jesus name.  Amen.

1.  There's a place I love to tarry
When my soul is sad, op-pressed:
'Tis a-lone with Christ my Savior
Where He bids me "Come and rest"

Chorus:   Just to be a-lone with Jesus
Just to hear Him soft-ly say:
"Fear not, though the world
forsake you
Lo, I am with you always"

2.  When the cares of life are heav-y,
And be-neath my cross I bend:
Then I go a-lone with Jesus,
For He is my dear-est Friend.

3.  When the tempter would sail me,
Jesus bids me to Him flee;
He's my Ref-uge, Friend and Savior,
He is all in all to me.                       Amen.

My friends in Christ, thank you very much for all your encouragement since I started writing this article.  May Christ Himself encourage you in all that you are passing through in Jesus name.

Till we meet next time by His grace and mercies,
Be blessed.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua).
May we be blessed with the song below.  If you do not know how to sing it, just read and meditate on the words, looking up to Jesus- Hebrews 12:2.

The God Who led His people thro' the parted seas
And from Egyptian bondage set His children free,
Who rained down bread from heaven all the pilgrim way,
Is the Gd to Whom I pray.

Chorus: Just the same today (2ce)
(O the God to whom I pray is just the same today)
As when He lead His people through the sea,
His trustful child I'll be, for in His Word I see.

2.  The God who rescued Daniel from lion's den,
And from the fiery furnace save the three young men,
Who speaks and constellations will His voice obey,
Is the God to Whom I pray.

3.  The God Who stills the tempest with the Word divine,
And on the clouds of sorrow makes His rainbows shine,
Whom from the tomb of Jesus rolled the stone away,
Is the God to Whom I pray.

4.  The God Who clothes the lily in its robe of snow,
Who in the barren desert made His rivers flow,
The God Who lifts the sinner from the miry clay,
Is the God to Whom I pray.    Amen.

Friends, I pray we will be blessed today and everyday as we put all our trust unto the God to Whom we pray.
Till we meet next week by His grace and mercies

These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe - Part II PDF Print E-mail
Friends in the Lord,
I believe that you all had a wonderful week.  You do not need to complain or murmur because there is still somebody out there that is worse off than whatsoever you are passing through today.
Please cheer up for Christ have conquered the world for you -  John 16:33.

We shall conclude our write up on the above topic by asking this question:  Why do people today believe the psychic than God?  Why do they believe the doctors than God?  Why do they trust their bosses than trusting God?  This is because those who call themselves believers around them are themselves not  true believers.  God said in His word that "He is not man that He should lie" Numbers 23:19.  Many believers when they are sick have the right to see the doctor, but before we go to the doctor, how many of us first go to God in prayers to ask Him to direct us to the right doctor, also to direct the doctors as they diagonize what is wrong with them?  You have forgotten that the bible said that when we ask we shall receive - Matthew 7:7.

You as a believer must know that '.....greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world" - I John 4:4  Receiving these promises depend on faith.  We cannot please God except we have faith - Hebrews 11:6  You need faith to access the authority Christ gave you as a believer. In Luke 10: 19 it says "Behold, I give unto you power (authority) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you."   Beloved, all you have to do is to trust the Lord on His words (face value) and stop running from one pastor to another and one crusade to another  From one anointing  service to the next only to come back home with more trouble.

Jesus said in Mark 5:36 "Be not afraid, only believe."  Brethren, let us all trust God and I believe that all shall be well.  If God says you can heal,  if you trust Him it will come to pass!  Only do not tempt God in all you do.  May God increase your faith in Jesus name.

Till we meet next week by His grace and mercies

These Signs Shall Follow Them That Believe PDF Print E-mail
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (Yeshua).  Last week we concluded our discussion on "Compromising Churches".  We need to pray for churches world-wide that the spirit in the world will not possess the church as we undertake this end-time journey.  This is the hour of prayer.

Today, our talk is on the promise the Lord gave us before He ascended to heaven.  In Mark 16: 17-18 it says "17 And these signs shall follow them that believe;  In My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover."

There are five signs in this two bible verses for a true believer in Christ to claim and stand on daily.  We cannot say we are believers yet we live in fear daily.  God has not given to us the spirit of fear - II Timothy 1:7.  At the same time we cannot tempt God -  Matthew 4:7.  If we truly believe, why don't we take the word of Christ on its face value without doubt in our hearts.  Without we running from pillar to post looking for anointing that is not lost  - I John 2: 20 & 27.

If we are not a believer in Christ,  we cannot claim these promises because these promises are meant for the children - Mark 7: 25-30.  We must be born again! We must believe and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  The end is coming soon!.  For my friends who are yet to surrender, for family members who are yet to surrender, for the lukewarm and doubting christians, the hour is now.  Today is the day of salvation, tomrow may be too late.

We shall continue this topic next week by His grace and mercy.

A Write up Titled "Compromise, a Troubling Church Trend" by Shane Idleman (A minister in Youth Ministry) PDF Print E-mail

Dear beloved of the Lord,
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua). Sorry we could not continue our discussion last week this was due to some unforseen circumstances, which the Lord have taken care of.  This write up will make the end to our discussion on "Compromising Church and Christians".  We all know that is very rare to see a church that have not compromised in one way or the other. In every depts in the churches today, we have some how compromised.  It is even worse in the area of marriages.

Below please read from Shane:  Quote:
Let me begin by saying I'm not writing this as if I have overcome all the challenges associated with being a christian. Nor do I want to approach this topic with a "holier than thou" approach, but not to be open and honest about this critical issue would be unwise and unbiblical.  I also believe that instead of continually bashing hollywood, christians should pray for the industry and seek to change the quality of the programming.  Hollywood is a mission field that needs prayer more than protest.  Sometime ago, I was disheartened to read an article in a major newspaper titled "Values Message Vanishes on Tube".  The article suggested those who voted for President George W. Bush because of moral values apparently were embracing those same values at home when considering what they viewed.  What was defined as pornography a few decades ago now fills our television screens on  a nightly basis; what a sad testimony to the world.

As W. Graham Scroggie said, "Light and darkness, right and wrong, good and evil, truth and error are incompatibles... when they compromise it is the light, the right, the good and the truth that are damaged".  The biggest problem with the evangelical or pentecostal church is not the sinner on the street, the drug addicts, not atheism or other religions, but "compromise" .  It always has been the only instrument used by the enemy to fight the church.  When compromise occurs, we can have church growth but no depth; numbers, but no character; enormous buildings, but small hearts.  We "play" christian, but have the tendency to comromise everything for which Christ stood for.  We have riches, wealth and prosperity, but neglect the weightier matters: love, mercy, and forgiveness.
The Compromising Church (Part II) PDF Print E-mail
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua).  May the blessings of God continually be with you.  We will continue with the above topic where it stopped.  "The compromising church" is never stable in its doctrine.  It is the spirit of the world that will be determining its beliefs.  According to the word in Jeremiah 5: 30-31,  apart from the rulers of the land, the priests and prophets have also compromised, the people themselves (congregation) have developed itchy ears and many ministers and members are now lovers of themselves and lovers of the world and preaching what will make their congregation happy and also give more money as tithte and offering and gifts to the man or woman of God - II Timothy 3: 1-5 & II Tim 4:3.

In the compromising position where many of our churches find themselves today, what the church do these days is to follow the trend that invades most ministries today.  When the prosperity preachers invaded the church to the detriment of other important spiritual teachings, the compromising church will change to properity preaching.  When the wind blows the preachers to deliverance, the compromising church will move to deliverance ministration.  As goes the pastor, so goes the members.  When miracles are the issues, the church changes and there also goes the congregation.
The Compromising Church PDF Print E-mail

Saints of God,
May the blessings and peace of God be with you all.  I stand to beleive that everyone had a wonderful week.   Do not allow satan to steal your blessings and your peace, so take a stand today and walk by faith and not by sight.  Last week the question was asked if we are still compromising? Demas was a good disciple working with Paul the Apostle, but he compromised his faith and went back into the world and was lost forever- II Tim 4:10.

Today, our discussion is centered on "the compromising church".  Compromise is not limited to individual christians alone, even the church as a corporate body lives and operates in compromise today.  In the book of Revelation Chapters 2 and 3 (New King James Version), we will find that there are seven type of churches mentioned.  We are going to deal with one of them called the compromising church and we can read about that in Revelation 2: 1 - 17.   Many of our churches today have compromised in one way or the other.  In this era of end-time anointing, many churches are today pursuing shadows instead of substance.  We run the church of God like those in Wall street today.

When we compare the original doctrine with which many of us started with, what we do and believe in today, should make us weep.  It is hard now to differentiate the saint from the sinner.  The word of God has been watered down so as to please those who pay big tithes and offerings, or those who sponsor the church in big programs.  In the area of dressing, there is no difference with the world.  Many ministers are afraid to correct because they need the crowd in their churches. If we have ten thousand members or five hundred members and only ten of them make heaven have we as ministers done our work well?  Many will say, the bible said if "one soul" is won, heaven celebrate.  This is in the field not the church.  The old time religion spoken about in the beginning have been discarded.  Teaching on righteousness and holiness is no more popular, prosperity is the in thing.  I do not condemn prosperity, but to have an enduring prosperity, there must be righteousness and holiness in the church of God. Psalm 24: 3-5,   Ezekiel 18: 4 and I John 2: 15-16.
To be continued......

Still Compromising? PDF Print E-mail

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus (Yeshua)
I believe you all had a great and wonderful week, we thank the Lord that we finally came to the end of the World Cup Soccer competition which took place in South Africa.  We believe that the best prepared, determined and committed team won.  The President of their country sent them on a mission and their mission was accomplished- they took home the trophy.

Remember, many soccer teams came from different part of the world, that is those that were qualified to be there because many countries did not even meet the qualification level, but among the qualified ones, only one team won! Let us turn it around and let us be honest to ourselves both the writer and the readers, since we as children of God have been sent also for a mission by God on this earth, are we determined, prepared and committed to this mission?

Do we see God's assignment as a burden?  Some of us compromised our Sunday worship so as to watch the closing match of the world cup.  Even ministers of God ! We must remember that this world cup trophy is a corruptible one, but we have been called to duty so as to receive an incorruptible crown, yet we frustrate the grace given to us by God.  I Corinthians 9: 24-25 and Galatians 2:21a.  Therefore if any man be in Christ..............II Corinthians 5:17.  We have to come to a conclusion that flesh have to die, so that we can be useful to our Master who have sent us to be an ambassador of His kingdom here on earth - II Corinthians 5:20.
The Reward of Non-Compromising Saints of God (Continued) PDF Print E-mail
Dear brethren in the Lord,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Yeshua).

I believe you all had a beautiful 4th and 5th of July and as we all celebrated this great freedom day, let it be known to us that the greatest freedom, is freedom from sin and hell that Christ got for us all who believe on the cross of calvary.

Before our diversion into celebrating the 4th, our last discussion was on "the reward of non-compromising saints of God."  Firstly compromise is when we settle for less or when we go contrary to Proverbs 4:27 "Turn not to the right hand nor to the left.......".  The last personality we discussed was Joseph and how he was not ready to compromise and thereby his dreams and visions was not aborted.  Today, our discussions will be based on Daniel and his three Hebrew friends named Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
Freedom in Christ PDF Print E-mail
Greetings in Jesus (Yeshua) name.  May the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ continue to be upon us all.  We will have to put a hold on our discussions that deal with "compromise" and dwell today on the above topic that is connected to celebrating Independence Day.

As America celebrates its Two Hundred and Thirty Fourth (234) years of independence or freedom from the British on Sunday July 4, 2010 which is the official day, even though it has spilled over to July 5, 2010, we must all look back and see if this freedom and liberty helped us.  Why are things the way it is now?  It is because sin brings reproach to any nation, only righteousness can exhalt any nation - Proverbs 14:34.
