Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Happy New Year!!

I greet you all in Jesus name and pray that this year will be a year of celebration for you because I believe that when God leads you to your bone of your bone and flesh of your flesh, surely this will call for celebration. It will not be long, if you wait on Him.

Most singles whether belivers or not have this idea that when they get married, there will no more be lonliness and they will be happy. Most times this idea is wrong. Marriage does not guarantee joy or an end to loneliness because millions of married people are still not happy and are still lonely.

Remember even Jesus was lonely, when all his disciples deserted him and he was alone, so lonliness is a general issue with all human. A believer who is single can overcome the spirit of loneliness through the Holy Spirit. As singles in Christ, we must always turn to the Holy Spirit to see us through all the loneliness and lack of happiness in our lives.

Loneliness can draw us into temptation and to overcome this, we need the Holy Spirit. Let us turn to the Holy Spirit as often as we should. Do not forget that he is the real presence of God on earth. He lives in us, he guides us, he encourages us, he counsels us and he teaches us the right thing to do so that we can avoid falling into the trap of the enemy of our soul.

Do not allow satan to take away your joy by reminding you of how long you have been waiting and how God have forgotten your situation. God will never forget his own people, therefore in this new year get close and be an intimate friend of the Holy Spirit, you can find back your joy and will talk less of loneliness. This is true, it is real and you can achieve it. Do not give satan any room.

Remember, what the word of God says in Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Till we meet again next month by the grace of God, with God on your side, you can overcome all that satan throws at you - You are an overcomer because greater is He that lives in you!

Trust God's perfect timing.

The Path To Success PDF Print E-mail

The path to success is to take massive determined action.
by Anthony Robbins
Success is defined as the achievement of something planned or attempted. It can be viewed in a subjective or objective manner depending on the different individuals‘s values, cultural, educational or financial background. For some success is having a lot of money and goodies that money can buy. For some others, it is fulfilling some lifelong goals or ambition. For some it is having a good family life and a rewarding career etc. As noble as all these things may be, God’s definition of a successful individual may be different from ours.
For instance, as far as God is concerned Moses was a very successful person and a great leader. Although he did not make it to the Promised Land because of anger, he fulfilled a very unique assignment.

All the apostles except one, (John the beloved) were executed for the sake of the gospel. To the people of the world and possibly some members of their family, they were not successful. Apostle Paul was so sure of God‘s view point about “his achievements” that he said I have fought the good fight and a crown of life awaits me “,yet he was in prison when he made this statement.

May we all be able to take every step necessary to be successful in things that really matters to God in the mighty name of Jesus.
Beloved as a  person trusting God for  godly  a spouse, and one who is getting on in years particularly, if you are a lady, as you continue to pray,  please trust God with your situation for He alone can give you good success whether it concerns relationship or other areas of life. Remember vain is the help of man. The right hand of the Lord that doeth valiantly will fight our battles in the name of Jesus.

Stay Blessed, I love you but Jesus loves you more and he is coming back soon. Be prepared!

No Condemnation PDF Print E-mail
The people of the world want to judge and condemn but Jesus wants forgive and help believers to live better lives and be more Christ like. He empowers the believer to live a better live with the help of his Holy Spirit. (Acts 1:8)

The Pharisees want to judge and condemn the woman caught in adultery unfairly, although they claim they have the backing of the Law of Moses; however they neglected to bring the woman’s accomplice since it was impossible for her to have committed the said crime alone.

The Lord saw through them and made a statement to them that caused them to look inwards. He said anyone without a sin should cast the first stone. Alas, they left one after the other beginning with the eldest accuser/prosecutor.  Lo and Behold the Lord forgave the woman and set her free.

You and I might not find ourselves in this woman’s position but we must have committed one sin or the other at some point in time and have been forgiven by God the father through Jesus; however some of us go fishing for those forgiven debts and condemn ourselves.

At times  when there is a delay to certain prayer request we believe that God still remembers those old stuff and he’s still holding on to it. But our father is saying to you/I today child, get up move on, I am with you I will never forsake you, forget the past press towards the goal.
And remember there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus - Romans 8:1

If His conditions are met, God is bound by His Word to forgive any man or woman of any sin because of Christ.
Billy Graham

God Bless you as you "let go" and "let God."

It is only by His grace in this modern times that a single person will not fall into sin and disappoint God or himself or herself.

Take up the mantle of prayer and ask the divine matchmaker to give you the bone of your bones and the flesh of your flesh.  Remember that for every Isaac there is a Rebekkah and for every Ruth there is a Boaz.

Praying for Guidance PDF Print E-mail
As a single person trusting the Lord for so many things a good career, a lovely spouse, good business partners, good health and whatever else makes life comfortable. When one is young, especially a young adult or someone in their early or mid twenties some people think they have all the answers and they have it all together.

Nevertheless this is just an illusion, because experience has shown that we need the counsel of elders and we need God. Some young people are so busy building their careers and making money and they just believe that a spouse would come along at the right time to compliment them.

However, apart from our relationship with our immediate family, nuclear or extended, the relationship with whoever we decide to marry is the next most important. Therefore it must be prayerfully established. Father Abraham knew the importance of preparing adequately for this special relationship, that he made his servant take an oath to get his son a wife from among his own people (Genesis 24)

1 “Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things. 2 So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, “Please, put your hand under my thigh, 3 and I will make you swear by the LORD, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell; 4 but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac.”
5 And the servant said to him, “Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I take your son back to the land from which you came?”
6 But Abraham said to him, “Beware that you do not take my son back there. 7 The LORD God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house and from the land of my family, and who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, ‘To your descendants[a] I give this land,’ He will send His angel before you, and you shall take a wife for my son from there. 8 And if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be released from this oath; only do not take my son back there.” 9 So the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter.
10 Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed, for all his master’s goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor. 11 And he made his camels kneel down outside the city by a well of water at evening time, the time when women go out to draw water. 12 Then he said, “O LORD God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. 13 Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. 14 Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink’—let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”
15 And it happened, before he had finished speaking, that behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, came out with her pitcher on her shoulder. 16 Now the young woman was very beautiful to behold, a virgin; no man had known her. And she went down to the well, filled her pitcher, and came up. 17 And the servant ran to meet her and said, “Please let me drink a little water from your pitcher.”
18 So she said, “Drink, my lord.” Then she quickly let her pitcher down to her hand, and gave him a drink. 19 And when she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking.” 20 Then she quickly emptied her pitcher into the trough, ran back to the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels. 21 And the man, wondering at her, remained silent so as to know whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.
22 So it was, when the camels had finished drinking, that the man took a golden nose ring weighing half a shekel, and two bracelets for her wrists weighing ten shekels of gold, 23 and said, “Whose daughter are you? Tell me, please, is there room in your father’s house for us to lodge?”
24 So she said to him, “I am the daughter of Bethuel, Milcah’s son, whom she bore to Nahor.” 25 Moreover she said to him, “We have both straw and feed enough, and room to lodge.”
26 Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped the LORD. 27 And he said, “Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His mercy and His truth toward my master. As for me, being on the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren”

The servant also took the assignment very seriously even though he should have been, Abraham‘s heir if Isaac had not been born. He pray for God’s guidance and divine intervention in getting a wife for his master‘s son and God answered his prayers to the letter.

Beloved are you trusting the Lord for a  spouse and you’ve prayed and prayed and you are now tired of being everybody’s prayer request? Why don’t you go to your Father and be specific like Abraham's servant in Genesis 24 and like Hannah, Samuel’s mother, in 1 Samuel 1 and trust with God with result.

Remember He loves you and He is the giver of all good gifts. He will surely remember you for good today in the mighty name of Jesus -  James 1:17.

Stay Blessed, I love you but Jesus loves you more and He is coming back soon. Be prepared!

For Such A Time As This PDF Print E-mail
Beloved of God,

Calvary greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I hope you are having a wonderful time in your respective fellowship centers.  Are you doing something challenging or creative for the Lord right now or have you done something for the Lord at some point in time that you know beyond a shadow of doubt that the assignment was from God and you did your best?

There are at times some people find themselves in certain circumstances or they find that they have to perform a particular assignment they never thought they could have done. But God the all knowing allowed them to find themselves in the situation for such a time, for a divine purpose to be fulfilled in their lives or in the lives of others.

Joseph was in an Egyptian prison when the king had a dream, so that he can use his gift of interpretation of dreams to be a blessing to the Egyptians, his own people and others in the surrounding nations (Genesis: 42-50)

Daniel was in Babylon as a captive, but he sanctified and glorified his God before the unbelievers in Babylon, that the people ended up being in awe of the God of Daniel.  (Daniel: 1-6)

Esther just got married to the king after a whole year of preparation, but she was called upon to help save her people and God used her for his purpose at that time in his history.  Let’s examine her story in Esther 4:1-17.

“When Mordecai learned all that had happened, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and ashes, and went out into the midst of the city. He cried out with a loud and bitter cry. 2He went as far as the front of the king’s gate, for no one might enter the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth. 3And in every province where the king’s command and decree arrived, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes. 4So Esther’s maids and eunuchs came and told her, and the queen was deeply distressed. Then she sent garments to clothe Mordecai and take his sackcloth away from him, but he would not accept them. 5Then Esther called Hathach, one of the king’s eunuchs whom he had appointed to attend her, and she gave him a command concerning Mordecai, to learn what and why this was. 6So Hathach went out to Mordecai in the city square that was in front of the king’s gate. 7And Mordecai told him all that had happened to him, and the sum of money that Haman had promised to pay into the king’s treasuries to destroy the Jews. 8He also gave him a copy of the written decree for their destruction, which was given at Shushan, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her, and that he might command her to go in to the king to make supplication to him and plead before him for her people. 9So Hathach returned and told Esther the words of Mordecai. 10Then Esther spoke to Hathach, and gave him a command for Mordecai: 11“All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that any man or woman who goes into the inner court to the king, who has not been called, he has but one law: put all to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter, that he may live. Yet I myself have not been called to go in to the king these thirty days.” 12So they told Mordecai Esther’s words. 13And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” 15Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: 16“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” 17So Mordecai went his way and did according to all that Esther commanded him.”

Esther appeared wisely, before the king to plead her people’s case and they were victorious and the enemy was destroyed by his own instrument of destruction. (See Esther4-9)

As a young/single person, do you know if God has placed you at your job, ministry, school/college, club or your friend’s life for such a time as this?

Why don’t you pray and seek God’s face about what He is doing around you, so that you can fulfill your assignment for such a time as this?

It is my prayer that God will show us his purpose/will for our lives and that we might be able to join in his work around us and be the channel of blessing that he has called us to be while we are waiting on him to perfect that which concerns us in the mighty name of Jesus. (Psalm 138)

Stay Blessed, I love you but Jesus loves you more and He is coming back soon. Be prepared!

Waiting On The Lord PDF Print E-mail

As people living in this fast paced world of drive through, Hi speed Internet, ipad , Iphone, Microwave and the like. Many of us have become accustomed to getting the things we need quick, fast and in a hurry.

Therefore when we pray and we do not receive immediate or speedy answers to our prayers, some of us resort to helping God. And unfortunately some abandon the faith probably thinking that God is unable to help them.

However God is the maker of heaven and earth and He is sovereign God who does whatever he wants in his own time.

God does not work with our time the bible says a thousand years is like a day in his sight, and He is a God that always keeps his words (promises).

What has God promised you as a young or single person and you are thinking God is being too slow because age is no longer on your side especially as a single lady. And you are getting a little desperate about when the one who is God’s will for you will show up.

Beloved please wait on the Lord for, He always has the best for you. Look at your waiting period as a preparation period, a time to get to know your Father and possibly yourself.

Do not go ahead of God especially with respect to a marriage partner, because some have done this and they have regretted the decision.

Waiting for the Lord’s time has great rewards, one great benefit is that if you are sure it is God that gave you, your spouse you can always go to God if there is a problem in the marriage and report the issue to him. But if you disobeyed in the first place, you just have to beg the Father for mercy and forgiveness. Sometimes the consequence might be disastrous.

When God says wait, He means wait, let’s examine the story of a king that refused to hearken on to the voice of the Lord to wait patiently before a particular assignment. In 1 Samuel 13:7-14, Saul grew tired of waiting for the man of God and decided to take it upon himself to perform a duty specifically reserved for a priest.

And some of the Hebrews crossed over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was still in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. 8 Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. 9 So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. 10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.

11 And Samuel said, “What have you done?”

Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, 12 then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the LORD.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.”

13 And Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now your kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you.”

As a single person, male or female while waiting for God’s will, let us learn to wait patiently and seek wise counsel before taking any step that might lead to a bitter experience.

If the king had waited God would have established his kingdom, if some young ladies have waited they might not have had children outside wedlock or even at a young age. If some young men had waited and prayerfully studied the beautiful young ladies they are with, they might have found that they are not compatible or that the relationship is not God’s perfect will.

However, if you have made a mistake please do not let guilt or the devil keep you from your Father. He will surely discipline you because you disappointed him even more than you did yourself, but he has promised that if you confess your sins he will forgive you, so if you have missed it, just confess your sins and make peace with the Father and he will have mercy on you in the name of Jesus.

Precious one, in what area do you need to wait on the Father today or in what area are you waiting on Him? Be assured that he will not fail you? Therefore let us encourage ourselves with the words of the psalmist in Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord ‘s help , Be strong and brave , and wait for the Lord’s help,” or as The Message put it “ Stay with God !Take Heart , Don’t quit I’II say it again: Stay with God .

Stay Blessed, I love you but Jesus loves you more and he is coming back soon. Be prepared!

Alone, But Not Lonely PDF Print E-mail

Dear Friends,

Welcome to another day of candid discussion with our sisters and brothers who are still living as singles.  Last time our discussion was based on "Still Seekng" and the conclusion was if we seek the Lord with all our heart, then the Lord Himself will seek out our potential mate.

As we can see, our talk today dwells on being alone and loneliness.  As singles many times satan uses this as a bait for us to walk into a sinful relationship or settle for less.  We must realise that if we trust in the Lord and commit our ways into His hands, frustration will not come in - Proverbs 3: 5-7.

Loneliness is something we can overcome, if we daily ask the Holy Spirit to be our friend and companion in this journey until the will of God for us comes to pass.  Overcoming the spirit of loneliness means being involved in the business of God apart from our regular office work or college or training.  Therefore we can get connected with fellow christians that are singles, be prayerful, read the word daily and believe all His promises and He will give you your heart desire - Psalm 37:4

Brothers and Sisters, remember we can never be alone Jesus promised to be with us always till the end of time - Matthew 28:20b. We must avoid every appearance of evil in this journey no matter how beautiful the devil presents it or try to convince us by reminding us how lonely we are - I Thessalonians 5:22-24

Till we meet agin by His grace and mercies.
Trust in God's perfect timing

Still Seeking PDF Print E-mail

Welcome to this maiden write up for the singles that are in Christ Jesus.  This area of discussion have been long overdue, but to God be the glory that at last God Himself made this possible.  This angle for Singles for Christ is born today July 9, 2010.  Praise be to God !

Living for Christ as singles, is difficult especially in this our perversed world that is full of all unholy ideas accepted by the society.  It takes the Holy Spirit to help all our brethren that are still single, to live in holiness unto the Lord.

If we are still seeking for the right partner, let us first seek the Lord and as we seek the Lord with all our heart, the Lord Himself will seek out your potential mate.  Remember Matthew 6: 33 which says "seek ye first the kingdom of God and all its righteousness and every other thing shall be added unto you".

Till we meet next week, seek and you will surely find, if we seek according to God's will and plan.  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers -  II Corinthinans 6:14.

Trust God's perfect timing!
